I think it's an actual Vizard shaft.

 

Speaking of repainting shafts, if they wanted to repaint the driver shaft, they would also do the ones in the long/driving irons too, I think.

Only on GolfWRX can a guy shoot -15 over two days, lead the event and people on here don’t like what he’s playing. By the looks of things l’m very sure Rosie is quite happy with his choice of clubs.

Exactly. Play what works. Plenty of oxygen deprivation to the brain around here when it comes to playing what's best for them. For many it seems to be better to have a great looking set of sticks (poser) instead of what actually works better for them.

Unless Rose has an injury or something like that he is going to win multiple times this season. He is going to have a strong season regardless of what brand is in his bag. The putter is interesting, but obviously something he has put a lot of thought into. If he continues to gain confidence with that putter, watch out. Not one of my favorite players, but very hard not to admire his game.

Looks like one driver is the std 460 head (noted as #2) and the other looks like 445 head and you can see the faint '445 V1' a faint 'T' and what looks like 58.5. would like to know more about the driver as well.

 

I have been hounding any post anyone makes regarding the shaft including on Roseys Instagram and Ive had Honma say 'eventually' so I would assume that if he sticks with it, its gonna be released. Im assuming its similar spec'd to the TPO he was gaming before just with their tech....tho like other posters, I was thinking they just painted over a TPO with the HONMA VIZARD as well, you know seeing as Mark King (xTM) is there and well, we all know TM was known for this not too long back; but it isnt. Honma original!

Honma must be happy. After a shaky start Rose was magnificent. And I noticed he was hitting it past his playing partners.

He ended up with all blades on the 4-9 instead of the earlier speculation with 4-6 in the 747 Vn CB irons. Great choice!

 

Good win for him, solidify that #1 rank and what a win for Honma and Axis!

Not sure what is uglier - the putter or those long irons. Not a fan of this setup at all.

 

The Honma utility irons (TW-U Forged) are actually pretty nice at address: compact and no overly chunky topline or offset (edit: I mean the offset isn't too OTT in comparison to some driving irons). That said, they aren't the most forgiving. If you're a good ball striker like JR most certainly is, then I imagine they pose no problem, but I found the previous TW-U iron to be easier to hit.

Rosey was ON with the driver, irons, and wedges this weekend and even that fugly putter was burying everything.

 

Those who are razzing his witb, don't forget these are TOOLS.... Tools are used, they're not for show.

Really like the shape of those irons, would be interesting to see something similar come to market. Of all the changes Rose made he seemed to be hyping up the driver quite a bit this week, I'm sure the guys at Honma are soaking it all up.

Agreed, Honma makes some great stick & obviously they perform just fine on the PGA tour. The Irons & Wedges look fantastic....But he is playing a "Made For" Driver shaft so he should be executed immediately by WRX'ers who only bag exotic shafts made in Japan :swoon: !!!!

Anyone going to give Axis a try? Weren't his putting stats good this weekend?

The driver was the big thing for me this week. He hit the ball exceptionally well with the big stick. Blades I always think are interchangeable but drivers and putters, for whatever reason, always seem to take longer for folks adjust to. Good stuff, cracking bag.

It's a Honma made shaft that copies the profile of a shaft he has played off and on for some time. They cloned his preferred profile.
