The TM is a pure blade. The Ping isn't.

Huh ? How is that ? Ping isn't hollow.

If you want to be technical both are muscle backs. Neither are blades. Venture a guess (educated one ) that tigers irons have some weight in the toe as well. Same same.

I thought a muscle back was a blade?

I been playing Miura blades over 10 years because as a lefty nothing looks better to me.. now, those Blueprint irons have my attention. Hopefully they will release and of course in lefty as well.

Well. Possible. They made at least 1 set. Bubba has them in play.

Need to get bubba on the lefty swap shop

The blueprint irons are quite small and finally a ping iron with minimal offset in the long irons. The muscle is fairly low so I think these will be a little higher flight than the P7TW irons if we ever seen those exactly the way they are.

I think these Blueprints are gonna have some level of forgiveness not typically seen in irons that thin.

Curious why you think this.

Every report from Ping insiders has said the reason why these won’t go to market is they are a blade with zero forgiveness for the non-professional golfer.

Yes they are coming out, saw them this week at the PGA Show, yes they are small but the CG looks fairly low so they might be a little easier to hit than they look, but like I said they look damn small.

Someone had to do it.

Which blades do you like best? Can't wait to try both of them.

TaylorMade P7TW VS. Ping Blueprint

When can one demo either? Are either even slated to come to retail?

They’re both gonna be sweet and ironically they both go back to Nike roots.

But definitely the p7tw, nothing like getting a set of clubs from Mike Taylor

Rather wait and get real MT irons through Artisan?

Are they going to do irons eventually??

If weren't that would be quite the wait, right? ?

I wonder if the TM irons will have the tungsten slug like TW's irons. Normally, you do not see this kind of feature in a consumer iron, however, Cobra did it with the King Forged MB irons.

Still, no guarantees either iron will be released. Thought we would have heard something for sure from the PGA show.

Whey will Rors get his own logo and shoe/clothing line?

I dont think he panned out the way Nike wanted. IMO it would a terrible idea to pay him 25 mil a year after this contract is up.

I’d be surprised if we see that slug in the retail offering. TM was not at the PGA show this year so hopefully we get some info soon.

Well nevermind.

I was thinking there’d be a forgiveness play with the weighted toe screw.

Maybe some tungsten in the sole to get ball flight up, I don’t know.

Just seems even your tour and scratch golfers are looking for some help these days.

I’ve had 2 ex college golfers tell me recently that they’ve moved away from blades with the tech in players irons we see now.

I had the same thought as I went from blades to p750s. I loved my blades but some days you just don’t have a great ball striking day the forgiveness helps.

When these come to market and we see some specs and tech, I wouldn't be shocked to see a little bit more than meets the eye in terms of perimeter stability.

The P7TW’s look better but the blueprints probably align more with what I’d need.
