I golf. I play golf. I am playing golf. I went to play golf. I'm not golfing, going golfing or...just golfing.

 

BUT

 

The real question is do you game your irons or are you gaming your irons?

I do go skiing, running, swimming, cycling, boating, snowshoeing...that said, personally I never "go golfing," that just hurts the ears. And "gaming" makes the skin crawl!

I go golfing and I play golf. I have also golfed. Sometimes I use clubs and on occasion they are weapons, WMD's or perhaps sticks. Having never used 'I'm gaming' I might have to start given some of the responses. If someone gets uptight about something like that I feel you have a civic responsibility to push the stick in a little further. You can tell it's in far enough when they make the same face as when you told them what your gaming.
