APPLY NOW: NEW Golf Pride Grips! ZGrip ALIGN and Tour Velvet Plus4

Recommended Posts

Golf Pride is looking for 20 GolfWRX members to test either the new Tour Velvet Plus4 or ZGrip ALIGN swing grips. Each tester will receive 3 swing grips for their driver, iron and wedge.

About Tour Velvet Plus4

With research showing that more than 90% of Tour players build up their grips, Golf Pride created Plus4 Technology, simulating adding four extra wraps of tape in the lower hand. The reduced taper profile promotes lighter grip pressure for more power. Tour Velvet Plus4 offers the same great Tour Velvet feel, now with Plus4 Technology!

About ZGrip ALIGN

Golf Pride’s ALIGN Technology delivers consistent hand placement and improved clubface awareness throughout the swing with a dedicated raised ridge down the back of the grip. ZGrip ALIGN, the first full-cord model to feature ALIGN Technology, delivers a firm feel and maximum surface texture for playability in all weather conditions.

How to Apply

  • In a post below, leave your City & State.
  • Tell us which grip you want to test - model & size (both grips are available in Standard and Midsize).
  • Tell us why you want to test your selected grip.

Selection Process

Golf Pride and GolfWRX will evaluate the applications and select 10 testers for each grip model after the thread is closed in 2 weeks. Those selected will receive a total of 3 grips to put on a driver, iron and wedge. Testers are required to grip clubs themselves or at a local clubfitter.

Z Grip Align Midsize

My right tends to get too strong in my grip. This would give me the feedback that it is sneaking in.

Thanks for the opportunity!

I use CP2 Pro Mid and am glad to see reduced taper in the TV. Want to try the standard.

  • Z grip Align - standard
  • This is my preferred grip (non align). Im a full cord kinda guy. Now that this grip comes with the align I think it can only help! Gives me proper hand placement on on a grip I trust in any weather here in NC. I have a tendency to get my right hand way too strong, baseball grip.

The tour velvet - midsize

I have played every other grip over the years and cannot find an ultra comfortable grip that just allows me to swing. I am a very "mental" player, in a bad way, because everything has to be pleasing to the eye and touch in order to let my mind relax. I would love to try these grips in order to see if my score can improve. Thank you

ZGrip Align Midsize

I like the ZGrip but never have used the Align technology. The grips are the biggest feedback that I use for my shots.

Tour Velvet Plus4 Standard

I have been a long time Golf Pride user and switch back and forth between tour velvet and tour velvet cord. I typically build my grips up a couple of wraps so this would make re-gripping easier. Sounds like the perfect grip for me!

  • Z-Grip Cord Align - Standard
  • I game the Z-Grips currently, not a better grip out there. But, I recently (7 days ago) tested some new Callaway clubs that were using the align technology and I was blown away with how easy it was to know where the face is. I thought it would be amazing to have the Z-Grip with align. Little did I know, when placing my order for '19 Apex Pros I went on Golf Prides website and saw the new Z-Grip Align! Unfortunately, Callaway is not offering them right now, and I had to get my normal Z-Grip Cords. However, if I could test these, and they prove beneficial, I will surely be switching the set to them.

Z-Grip Cord Align - Standard

I have been playing Z-Cords for a few seasons now, I have always preferred a cord grip because I feel that they provide me the best stability, but have been interested in how the GP Align function would work for me with that positive reinforcement built into the grip. Now the 2 have become 1.

Not sure about the align grip and would love to give an in depth comparison to the other Golf pride offerings including the multi compound, the plus 4 and others. I would love to try the align grips and see what the rave is about.
