2019 Ping Blueprint Irons - New in hand photos

I am thinking 4-6 i500 retro lofts and then 7-pw Blueprint. Might do the 6 iron in Blueprint.

Looks to me like he's doing iBlade 3-4 and Blueprint 5-W (just based on seeing one iBlade, one club with the PING notch in the neck (probably iBlade) and six clubs that are clearly Blueprint or have the toe weight visible. I'm loving the possibility of just ordering 5-W or 6-W in Blueprint and keeping my 3-4 or 3-5 iBlades in the bag.

It is so interesting how people can look at the same thing and have such different opinions.

 

I think they are horrible. The overall shape, the protruding lower toe area, and the odd upward jog in the muscle down by the toe just do not work for me. Yuck.

 

The protruding lower toe with more of a point at the top is very Ping. I have trouble looking down at more evenly rounded irons myself.

Best looking Ping clubs I have ever seen. They just look perfect. iBlade was disappointing for me when they came out.

I held the 2 iron and the closest head that come to memory would be an old Don white Norman 2 iron. We are talking small heel to toe. The set as it moves into the mid and short irons look playable. I would say close to the Callaway MB prototype but thinner topline and less bounce.

Man, my Mizuno MP-14 2 iron looks positively "game improvement" next to that Blueprint. Not to mention, the Blueprint probably has a few degrees less loft. Yikes.
