3rd annual pilgrimage for my friends and I from mostly SLC. It is a awesome PGA event to go to whether you drink or not. I personally partake in both but definitely get out on the course to see a lot of golf. We also usually go play a round or two and local courses on Thursday. Even if its a busy time of year for them down there.

It is definitely one of the most accessible tournaments for us, aside from the Shriners (way better field though). Good to see a fellow SLC'er. Lets link up this year and get a round or two in. I was going to pull trigger but the flights are absolutely outrageous and I cant get enough time off of work to drive. Enjoy the festivities!

I love it; parlay the final round directly into the Super Bowl. Not a bad Sunday for the first weekend in February, especially in the Northeast!

Lets do it. I booked my flight in December so it was only a couple hundred dollars for the flight and sharing a house with 10 people.

Due to the Super Bowl on CBS, this tournament moves over to NBC this year.

 

Saturday will be the final broadcast for longtime announcer Johnny Miller.

 

On Sunday Paul Azinger will move into the booth to start his run at NBC.

 

Farwell Johnny, I may be in the minority but I enjoyed him and Dan through the years. Love the NBC crew compared to CBS.

I was actually thinking about that last night. Set aside the setting for the European Tour event and the prize money and I was trying to decide what would I rather win?

 

If you win the Saudi event you have beaten 4 of the Top 5 in the world including numbers 1, 2 and 3. To win you have beaten the best in the world! Or would you rather win in Phoenix with a deeper field but not a field with the best players...
