Jason Day’s were modified. Like some have confirmed, sole grind, Tungsten weight to tweak CG to his liking. Was confirmed from designer that other than those tweaks , normal 760 with foam and Standard size/offsets.

Jason does not want to see any “left”’with clubs. Wade on the Tour Truck finds the lowest lofted 10.5 M6 Driver Head, builds to Jason’s Length with his new Accra shaft And sets it on the “lower” setting. Jason must like a “open” look for sure.

curious if guys who are playing these are still really liking them? Im getting close to the point of breaking down and getting them

Love mine! Sold my Z785’s for them and never looked back. Best TM irons I’ve ever owned. Seem to be holding up very well too, finish is top notch!

I love mine. They feel very soft, including the foamless irons. But were definitely more forgiving than the other irons I was debating (919T and SC). The finish, compact head size, relative forgiveness, all perfect for me.

Hows launch, distance, spin compared to the 785s? Im a high launch high spin guy debating bending them a little strong

4 Iron pretty easy to hit? Ive only hit the 6 iron. Debating the p790 4 iron

My 760’s are bent 1 strong and the launch is perfect for me. I am lucky to have access to the entire TM line and I think these are the best of all the TM irons combined. Looks, feel, performance, these tick off every box for me. The control of the 750/770 with the performance. I have seen lots of players hit the 730 on the range and say these are great not that difficult to hit. Then I throw 6 balls into the rough and that opinion quickly changes. If the rear badge was cleaner these would be not just a homerun but a grand slam. I attempted to play the 790’s and quickly dumped them, did not feel like I had control or enough spin.

Launch is much higher with the 760’s compared to the Srixons. Spin is higher as well at around 6500 RPM with the 7 iron and over 10000 with my PW, about 1200 RPM more than the 785’s.

One thing I noticed with the Z785’s is they spun really low, could be due to the stronger lofts and not as much meat behind the ball.

Distance is a little shorter with my P760’s but only by about 5 yards across the board.

Not of much importance but I must say that TM Custom shop impressed me on my 760 build. I play +1/2" on my irons with standard loft and 1 degree up. In the past the TM iron sets I would purchase always were on the heavy side of the SW scale(D6+). Customer service would always say, they "try" and get them close to standard SW but with Custom builds have no guarantee. Was nervous at what the 760' would come in at. Glad to say the specs are dead on! They must have used lighter heads as Swing Weight is Dead on D3 across the set! Will be glad when the weather improves so can test on course, not on Launch Monitor wonderland.

Enjoy them! I love mine! Everyone’s been all over the Apex Pro’s as of recent, wish more people would try these as they’re just as good if not better than the Cally’s, especially in feel and just overall enjoyment. These 760’s are just fun to hit!

I have about 6 rounds with these under my belt now... switched from the P790’s with Modus 120’s. The P760’s are a little shorter, but I feel like I have so much more control. My proximity to the hole on approach shots is much better. Sound and feel is improved too.

Here's my thoughts:

Looks go to the 760s...a more modern look with the satin finish and less offset than the apex pro. However, the apex did actually feel better and they sounded better... And performed better. I'm not putting too much in that though as the shafts were different which 100% changed my results. Money taper in the apex pro and dg120 which was plus 1/2 inch.

Would be a tough call but I think I'd pick the apex pros just due to how much better they felt on miss hits. However when I was fit into 760s they performed and felt wonderful, so there's really not much in it.

... Quite a few years ago I was playing 690mb's and wanted a little more forgiveness in my long irons. I ended up creating a combo set in my 7-pw and 762B's in my 6-3 iron. I was on staff with Titleist at the time and the VP in charge of club R&D told me in the near future they would probably stop offering full sets of MB's other than custom order, and all sets would be combo because it just made sense for 99% of those that play golf. That never came to pass of course, but the 760's are very close to that idea.

How did you order them at D3? I might order a set in the D3-4 range. Deciding between these and the Mizuno JPX 919 tours but I think I might want a little more forgiveness with these. Identical numbers between the two irons on trackman so that was interesting to see the mizuno tours going that far considering they are 1 deg weaker.

The 785's also ship with longer shaft lengths than the P760's.

> Anyone gaming these that switched from the P790s? Curious to see your opinions and thoughts on the transition.

... I absolutely loved my 790's playing them 2 years in Chicago. It gets very windy here so the lack of spin is a nice bonus. Loved everything about them other than the feel, which is OK but nothing like a solid forging of course. That said, I spent the winter in Phoenix and played 107 rounds in 117 days and it didn't take too long to figure out the lack of spin was hurting me in the higher altitude with very hard greens. Played Papago and had a downwind shot to a pin 211 in the front of the green. I figured a 5 iron that normal carries around 190-195 would be perfect. I hit it as well as I could and launched it sky high only to see it run off the back of the green? My ball mark was barely on and it still ran off the back. So I switched back to my Cobra Forged Tours and they worked out much better for me.

... But I missed those P790 long irons and kept eyeing P760's on eBay throwing out a ton of low bids usually losing by $200-$400. Then in late February I was surprised when won a set for even less than my bid. It did not take me long to realize the 760's were just about perfect in every way. I really couldn't care less about what the cavity looks like LOL because at address they are just exceptional. I was also a little worried about how small the 760 heads are in the long irons compared to my 790's but after just a few rounds that proved to be a non factor. And of course the feel, especially in the pw-8, is really light years better which is a nice bonus. I planned on going back to my 790's when I returned to Chicago in mid May but I was so happy with the 760's I never considered putting the 790's back in the bag. I still think the 790's are outstanding irons, especially if you need the extra forgiveness but I will be selling mine because the 760's are a hair better for me across the board and while I never experienced the mythical unicorn 790 WRX flier from the middle of the fairway on a well struck shot, I do find the 760 short irons to be just a hair more accurate than my 790's.
