SM7 Slate Blue

I just received my set of 50f, 54f, 58s with DG S400 TI onyx shafts and Golf Pride mcc plus 4 blue grips with Vokey logo. No up charge for the shafts or grips. They look amazing, definitely not the same blue as the SM5 indigo which I also liked. The indigo didn't wear well at all, hopefully these will.

When you order at Wedgeworks, it lists shafts and which carry a charge vs free. Some nice ones for no extra. My 54 F grind — so good for greenside shots — with DG Tour Issue S400 arrived today. I love the look. More of a gray-blue blend to my eye, a nice steel blue. It is not a bright blue, it’s toned down and better IMO. I like it better than black too. It has a very refined look. I have the 50 F in Tour chrome and they fit nicely together.

I purchased 60 s grind at shop yesterday. Wedgworks doesn't even list it. wanted a different shaft on it . darn

Looks like there is a new finish to the Vokey's. I have not seen this posted yet. $199 per wedge. Also, it looks like the stock wedges went up to $175 per club, but can be found for $150 all over the net.

It's chromed, I believe - Aaron Dill mentioned its durability similar to Tour Chrome.

 

I ordered a 54.10 bent 1* strong and 58.08, both 1* flat, with the DG TI S400 Onyx, which was a part of the free upgrade (as well as a plethora of grip options). Really excited to get these.

Looking to pull the trigger on a matching set of these. With risk of taking this off topic... can anybody tell me what the closest grinds would be to the old SM2’s? I’ve played 60*-07 and 56*-11 for years (bought multiple sets when they stopped making them). What’s the most comparable in SM7 grinds? I’m thinking 56*-10 S grind and 60* D or M grind.

Definitely chromed. Looks nothing like a typical black wedge or the Mizuno S5 blue wedges. It should hold up just like a satin chromed iron. They call it slate blue and the slate means gray, but when you see it, the tones are subtle. Nice job by Titleist on the color.

Thanks for the video and picture. Definitely loving the color. Was torn on keeping tour chrome which I don't really like or buying jet black, which I wasn't totally feeling. Just wanted something a little darker than the chrome but didn't like the sm7 brushed steel. Sm6 brushed steel was way better. Probably ordering these this weekend once I decide what 58 deg grind I want.
