Yeah. She didn’t look bad back in the days. And jeans was no problem on the course then. We youngsters would play in a sweater, long legged training pants, bola socks and Adidas Superstars... Golf was really laid back here those days. A healthy lot of courses, not too many people playing, and I could as a 20 yo afford to drive around the Stockholm area playing all courses, even the more prestigious ones. And Im not from a wealthy family. Then came the 90’s, ”premium” clubs popped up everywhere and too many started to play. Now, its better. A pity though that too few young guys from here breaks through on the big tours. Always nice to see fellow countrymen on TV playing for victories.

 

Favorite quote was after Stensons stunning Open championship when he was asked “does this make you the greatest Swedish golfer in history”

Henrik dryly replied “I’m not the best Swedish golfer on my street”....

 

Annika lives across the street....all time great comment imho

Not that I am on the Brooks "linebacker build" train, but this is when I realize that golf is the only sport most of you on the board have ever actually played (and probably didn't even play that competitively).

 

Giannis is 6'11 & 250lbs, not many are going to look huge standing next to him.

Not a tour picture at all; if correct it is a picture from a photoshoot for a new line of Hogan clubs in the nineties. What I read is that hundreds of spectators appeared.
