i can appreciate what the kid can do, my only fear would be for beginners to look at all his wonky motion and then when things aren't going well on the course or range say, "Hey, maybe i'll try it" and then cause more problems than had they just figured out the fundamentals.

So he should be banned from tv???

Man, you would be blown away if you watched golfers from the 60s-70s-80s.Tons of homemade swings and unique actions...

Um, he's not new at all. He was an awesome junior player and played #1 at OK St almost all last year, ahead of the US Am winner. Everyone under 25 years old knows of him. Sort of like Karl Vilips and Akshay Bhatia. So many kids able to shoot low 60s it's scary.

His swing coach George Gankas is a surfer type and kinda unusual. Has very interesting videos on youtube. I think he was also working with Adam Scott all of last year.

ETA - sorry. didn't see someone already mentioned GG.

Their relationship was only a few events. Adam Scott went back to Malone.

GG is still working with Sung Kang, Danny Lee, and others though

"Fundamentals". Good Lord. A beginner can barely grasp anything about the swing, no matter how traditional, boring, right, or wrong you make it. Like it's going to matter one iota if they experiment. They're going to suck no matter what, until they figure out how things work.

Adam Scott's swing started to look like an 18 handicap with Gankas.

^^what are your talking about bottlecap?..all gankas did was change Scott’s posture to a more rounded upper back...that way he didn’t need to address the ball on the heel and back out of it to hit it in the middle of the face....Scott is now back working with his brother in law brad Malone...but still sends gg videos from time to time...if you have some ax to grind against gankas at least know what the hell your talking about and don’t be ignorant

All of these haters out here who have so little knowledge of the golf swing. From the start of the downswing wolff is so amazingly good. Gankas is building one of the best resume's out there with his players. Wolff is legit and going to be a big name going forward.

I remember when Scott started playing tournaments after working with gankas and his posture was different and he was definitely trying try rotate open more with less arms. In fact the golf announcers pointed it out saying it looked off and that he was trying to rotate more with less arms. Gankas for sure gave him the whole spiel. The problem with this is that Scott is one of the best arm swingers to play the game and arguably top 5 swings of all time.

Gankas doesnt make people change very much. His model is focused on helping people properly rotate their bodies while controlling the face of the club. After reading brandies book, watching lots of swings, looking at how all this works... I’m not sure there is a better way. The reason Wolff swings like that is because that’s iwnhe swings. Gg just drills him on rotation to make sure he keeps opening chest and body and doesn’t jump stahl. If you all started thinking more about how your body was turning and realized the club is like a whip... endless possibilities.

Miller said Craig Parry’s action would have made Hogan puke. I suspect Wolff’s would have caused a massive aortic blowout. Or, to limit the risk of too much self-contemplation of their own mortality amongst my fellow Wrxwrs, perhaps just a bout of explosive diarrhea. In any case, having seen Miller Barber, Furyk, Doyle, Tommy leather hands, and my own homemade action in person, I will humbly defer on prognostication of any sort here and wish him the best of luck.

Lots of GG disciples on this board. I am interested to see how his ideas progress as he becomes more known so to speak. In 10 years time, will be he revolutionary or will he be remembered like stack and tilt?!

I believe he had a 368-ish on 18 on one of the days, maybe sunday?.... his name was on the longest line from all the drives.

He had a 338 yard drive earlier today. Ridiculous.

I’m not a gg disciple but he teaches what a lot of others do as far as rotation, squatting and shallowing out the club. He goes aboutit diferently in some aspects compared to others.

I was taught to worry more about the consistency and effectiveness of the swing over how it looks. Furyk did quite well with his figure 8, time will tell if Wolff's swing stands up to the pressure of pro golf. Given Bryson's success thus far I'd say those looking to model a "different" swing off of a younger pro should look in his direction for now.

Couldn't care less how my swing looks. If I can score with it and win some $ from my friends, all for it.

I mean he's been around since the 90's,

I think what has helped is his heavy youth focus. Between Wolff and some of his other up and coming studs, you're only going to see more of him. He is different. I don't always care for his content, but it's refreshing to hear someone basically call out some of the unnecessary aspects of golf teaching as stupid and mechanical.

good ball flight makes any swing look good regardless. Watching Furyk flush balls in person makes the swing look pleasing to the eye, atleast for me.

Seen him and Kutcher live and it did not look great but same result as anyone else. Furyk gets extra points for his caddie's sweet mustache though ha.

I have seen Bryson as well but only around the green. Don't remember if he was using the same putter as he is now but next time he is at my local tournament, if he comes back, he is one I want to follow for a good amount of holes.
