Maiden voyage in the Sims last night. Didnt have a lot of time to hit it on the range and monitor numbers before the round, so some more playing to do there but initial numbers were good.

Initial impressions. I am seeing distance gains for sure, but struggled with the feel and swing. Was fighting a draw and couldn't seem to get it to fade at all which used to be my goto with the LTD. Hopefully a bad swing day. I know this is certainly lighter swingweight than my LTD so will look to bump that up. Had a hard time feeling the head and felt like I really need a strong transition with the Atmos Black to see good results (and the feel the head). See what I can do with lead tape for now. Wish the weights were cheaper. Hopefully ebay knockoffs come out soon.

Does anyone know if this is an item you could order through someone like DD? Or an add on through them perhaps with another club purchase?

You can order the weights through cobra. Also to give you some info. The weight front on the F9 promotes fade bias, and weight back promotes draw bias. Based on what the cobra website says.

Thanks. I know cobra has them, just don't feel like spending $33 a weight shipped. Interesting though about the weight location. Maybe I'll play around with it in the front. Thanks

With all the adjustable Driver weights nowadays, I'm surprised it's not one of the 'custom' options when you buy, similar to Grip, Length, etc.

I'm so jealous of all of you who can test it on the course right now. I've found that 100% of the time I hit the ball better when I tee it up myself on the course than on ANY indoor simulator.

Driver: Cobra LTD Pro 7.5o - Kuro Kage DC XT 70 TX - Tipped 1"

UDI: 2019 TaylorMade P790 2i

Irons: 3-PW: Srixon z745 with Modus 130x

Wedges: 52o/56o/60o - Cleveland RTX4s

Putter: Ping Kushin 4

Fyi, myself and others here have commented that it is draw biased. I had weight forward and anti-left kiyoshi black and was hooking the s*** out of every single shot. On a different day hooked every single shot with Ventus shaft as well.

I went with PXG driver as that one is much more anti-left and has additional anti-left settings like 3 degrees flat lie.

Damn I wish it was what some are saying but I vehemently disagree. I've played a draw my entire life. Every Ping since G20 up to G ls was draw biased for me and the F9 in 9.5 neutral setting is strait (lucky me). I can draw it and easily hit fades also. Sounds like swing issues (assuming you have correct shafts) or ball alignment issues for those that can't seem to hit it strait. Thing is a strait dart for yours truly.

Yeah, definitely not swing issues, lol. The Cobra Driver is a hook machine. Many have said it before. I am a plus handicap and swing issues are not my issue.Every single ball out of 15-20 I hit went either left or way left (save 1 that went way right, because I left face open to see). Same shaft and different driver head at club champion (so all else constant other than head) and I could dial in such that I wouldn't lose a single ball left. Cobra just doesn't have that adjustability available to set it up anti-left and has a more upright lie angle to make it draw biased.

It seems like there are many who actually bought the driver and are running into problems with it going left. I bring this up to help people save some money and go test it out before buying blindly (which many have done) and potentially losing money based on all the hype.

Cobra even says their driver is draw biased in standard setting. By moving weight forward you are not all of a sudden going to get a fade biased driver as the the weight is in the middle of the club and not towards the toe. Their marketing on that one is BS. They would need to have 2-4* flatter lie settings to encourage a fade setting.

... "Hook machine" with woods and "20yd flyers" with irons are the stock and trade of many WRX members. Index is irrelevant and as a + index I find the F9 pretty neutral. Perhaps a hair of a draw with my 18gm weight back and a hair of a fade with it forward, but all in all pretty neutral for me. Ymmv of course.

Straight from website, and it seems as if the standard lie is lower than most other oems. The 9° is 57.50 and the 10.5° is 58.50.

Just hit the driver. Not sure about it yet. Feel is muted. Gotta admit it looks a little shallower faced than I’d like but it was a good showing. 9 deg turned down to 8, heavy weight front, Atmos Black 6x And was getting 156-158 ball speeds, launch 15 deg, but still like 2900 spin average of about 30 swings.

Obviously I can work on my path but it’s spinning a bit more than I’d like and I don’t usually go up to the 70g weight class.

Fyi, myself and others here have commented that it is draw biased. I had weight forward and anti-left kiyoshi black and was hooking the s*** out of every single shot. On a different day hooked every single shot with Ventus shaft as well.

Not my experience. Straight and fade was my experience with 9.0 degree, atmos 6s, weight forward. Any ball that went left was a straight pull. If you need '3 degrees flat anti left clubs' then you are in the minority.

How do you like the Atmos 6S? I love them in the F9 fairways.

Not a Cobra guy, but really my only complaint is cosmetic. The matte into the shiny just doesn’t work for my eye, but damn the club does its job. Just waiting on the Mizuno’s to show up to pull the trigger potentially on something new (Cobra included) if they can unseat my Honma.

I know this wasn't to me but without the Atmos Black ts 6s I probably wouldn't have bought this driver. It is a perfect marriage for me (shaft and head).

What's your club head speed? I have similar ball speed numbers and slightly lower launch angle (14.2) but was in the Atmos Black 7X. Just had my shop order the Atmos Black 6X and the Smoke. Have a feeling one of those 2 shafts will work a little better.

Saw the ST190 last night at my local shop. Unfortunately stopped in 10 minutes before closing.

Beautiful golf club. I hit 5 balls before it became obvious they wanted to close. Very nice sound. Rivals the F9.

One thing that freaked me out a little. It’s VERY open faced in the neutral setting that I Hit it in. Extremely different than the ST180 I’ve got that sets up a touch closed. I actually didn’t like how open it was. I really like a completely neutral look at address. I’ll have to check it more closely again later. Maybe I can goof with the settings.

For those that like an open face, they should fall in love with it. I think it’s a mistake because most people don’t need any help leaking the ball right.

Matt Blois from TXG and Michael Newton commented similar with regards how open the club looks by the ball. For the average golfer, if they don't notice the open face, it'll certainly wreak havoc with their game.

Still disappointed that the ST180 didn't work out. Blue was a lovely colour but just could not get it out there in any configuration.

Just got my F9 9 degree in today. I have 18g weight up front and 2g in back. I have two shafts Atmos TS Black 6X and 7X tipped 1 inch at 45 inches to try!

Very interested in this configuration. Exactly what I was thinking about doing. Please keep us updated.

Will do! Heading out of town for a few days but will post by next wknd.
