just in case you are being sincere, I will reply. I hope you don't punish me for trying to reason. . . . the rhyming stuff is a little juvenile but you are defensive (justifiably so), so I understand.

 

If you actually love this forum and want to stay, I have a tip. When you make a title of the thread so blatantly inflammatory, people will get defensive and start trying to invalidate your points/character.

 

"is jordan spieth's drought gonna get worse" is a lot more inviting to friendly discourse than just trashing an obviously talented golfer. I mean, you could even trash him in the first post and get away with it, but instead, the title, and your rhyming responses, deteriorate any chance at a lively, composed back-and-forth. Threads with the title "_______ is gonna keep loosing" or "_____ is much better than _______" will usually end as this has, with pretty juvenile and irrelevant jabs back and forth.

 

Shame, because the topic is not very inflammatory (though many respected members believe prediction threads are pretty clear signs of a bored OP), but the presentation is limiting.

 

long story short, better titles and more friendly responses (even if u are responding to what you think is mean and rude and unnecessary) will lead to a lot more members contributing to the conversations you enjoy in productive ways, circumventing the need for you to respond defensively.

 

this is only if you love this forum and want it to be as fun for as many people as possible. If you are just using it for your own fun and having a laugh, well don't let me stop you, just thought I would reach out with those thoughts.
