yep, That kid has major game. Not as long and flashy as Wolff but very good. GG has a few other young kids that will make a splash in College golf.

Fun fact, Akshay is turning pro at 18, he's skipping college.

might not be a bad idea, if your good enough is the true question. Going to college first and then hitting the tour has some drawbacks. One of them being it harder to get hired for a college degree level job when you've been done graduated for a few years trying to make it on tour. It's hard enough getting hired fresh out of college without much experience but when you add a few years to it, even more so.

He'll linger but not last, someone said that about Spieth also. Although Spieth isn't done yet, he may have reached his pinnacle early, but I don't think we will see him win much any more. It's too bad, he is a really nice guy.

Saw Wolff on his 3M win today. Good thing he has time to get his swing to repeat with all the balls he hits. He'll be a flash in the pan...hope not, but his swing is too funky.

Years ago, early '70's years ago, there was an article by a GD staffers bil who went to report on a tournament. He reported that Miller Barber was very careful not to hit the ball with his backswing, but with his downswing, which was a "vicious, whistling arc". I saw him play a few times live, he looked funky, even for the day, but he hit it solid every single time.

I'm not sure when Tiger makes his picks, Wolff could have some time to play well to get in like Spieth in 2013. Jordan was #22 in the standings when he got the captain's pick.

As far was Hovland goes, did Norway leave Europe?

Yes. But I see Furyk's swing as more repeatable, there's a lot of good things he does during that swing.

Wolff's swing has too many parts, especially the move with his left foot and across the line at the top.

Like I said, I hope he does well, but I don't see it happening.

If Furyk or Wolffe had less “moving” parts you would have NEVER heard of them.

Why do people hate on his swing? It's good enough to smash it 120+ club head speed and win a regular tournament with top players playing. Just cuz it's different doesn't mean it'll fail. We don't all swing it the same either. He's really good and humble. Great addition to the tour.

I find it strangely hypnotic. I guess the funky Elvis move at the start is to prep the hips clearing? Always nice to see individuals come through on a tour that can often be dominated by cookie cutter swings and preppy college grads.

What matters in golf is impact on each shot. Anything before or after is irrelevant. If what you did before helps you get to a better impact position then keep doing it, who cares what it looks like? Repeatable good/great impact position is what this about for a round.

Hard to say whether guys will plateau or keep climbing. Life has a tendency to get in the way of being focused on golf for 14+ hours per day, 7 days a week.

Dont try this at home is what You can say about this swing. The youngster does it with great results, I guess he knows what he is doing also in terms of not being injured by that motion, so we’ll be Furyking for the next couple of decades.

Any idea why he does that dance move thing to get the swing started? Would be cool to know how he ended up with that swing, maybe he already has in some interview?
