Craziest Story Line for 2019?

Sergio being kicked out of a tournament for destroying greens is a pretty unreal story line and 2019 just started. That is going to be tough to beat.

The Sergio thing is somehow just passing news, is there no video of him tearing up greens? I’ve seen his bunker tirade. While not his most handsome moment I’ve seen worse on Tuesday Ladies Day trying to get a cart out of the parking lot.

 

The US Open this year is going to be some sort of fork in the road: The players and media are going to decide it is “unfair” a week before even seeing the course or the USGA is just going to mow everything to fairway height and mark the Pacific as GUR. But I think this is the year that one side gives in on course set up.

I agree. PBGL has been holding huge tourneys for 100 years. They can't really screw it up. Only weather can make it play very difficult.

I think the possibility of a Bryson meltdown on National TV is a possibility. He is wired differently and under the right circumstances he could explode. He may be getting better control of himself after his success last year but we will see. Just a prediction.

I'm fairly certain that I am right in thinking that Phil's oldest daughter graduated high school in 2017 causing him to skip the US Open that year, his second oldest child is two years younger and would surely be graduating from high school this year. Chances are, it's the same school, chances are graduation is the same time so what are the chances that Phil skips the US Open again this year?

 

If he did, that would be up there in terms of crazy stories lines.
