Deal on gfore on ebay?

Can anyone who knows gfore shoes help me on this one? Price is very low and the material seems off....

Are GFores commonly counterfeited? I agree it's a great price, but he seems like a reputable seller. 1 negative in the past 6 months and it's someone that didn't think the perfume he sold lasted long enough.

 

Don't know anything about GFores though, so I'm sure someone else can chime in.

I am not at all familiar with G-Fore shoes, other than a brief look here and there. I am guessing, but based off of those photos, they sure look fake to me. Look cheap, materials look cheap, stitching or lack there of...

Those are really odd looking. I have a couple pair of Gallivanters and those are different in several ways.. The insole and footbed liner look nothing like mine. The entire outsole looks strange; cheap. Also the sole is totally different. My best guess would be that these may be some sort of samples? I can see on the sole some white lettering that says 'ms'.... maybe 'Manufacturer Sample'?? I'd ask the seller.

Phil has the identical shoe on today, not sure if it’s a custom version, but they look nothing alike

They could theoretically be fake, but they just look like one of the early models to me

I think it's fairly obvious that they are cheap mostly because they're tiny in size. I can't imagine the market for size 8 golf shoes is very vast.

 

Also, although I personally like the look of the shoes, I can personally see how many folks would think they're ugly, and sold to a niche set of golfers.

 

I've personally purchased a number of the first version of the Gallivanters and own the ones pictured, and I payed $20 years ago for them (new-on ebay).

 

For this pair of shoes, $69 is actually overpriced. Really.

Not fake. It’s a different shoe. That’s their street shoe. They don’t hold up well on the golf course. You can often find these cheaper. I’d pass.

First generation shoe but the soles were glued on and couldn't withstand the elements. Gfore wouldn't help unless you had receipt from an authorized dealer. The new shoes are much since the soles were stitched on. $70 still seems high to me when you can spend $100 on the peter millar gfore half off sale with a full warranty on them with a better quality shoe.

It was on for the last few weeks with all of the gfore/Peter Millar golf shoe collab but looks like it must have ended since I don't see it on the site anymore. No fears, some liquidator will buy them out and their stuff will be on a wholesale site soon enough.

Peter Millar has 2 end of season sales. One in July/August, one in December/January. They start with 20% and eventually make their way to 50%. You can typically find some decent items if you're an outlier size (S, XXL) or tend to go for some of the less classically styled items. I wouldn't expect things like plain Navy Performance Polo or Khaki shorts to be on sale because they tend to be core items rather than seasonal. Occasionally you'll find things that are quality. I almost pulled the trigger on the Tassel Loafer Golf shoes this year but never could convince myself.

 

I'd suggest signing up for their email list. They don't blast emails all of the time like other companies but you'll definitely know when the sales start
