Available for preorder now. Anyone have confirmation when demos will be in the big stores (DSG, GG...)?

I called Golf Galaxy this morning and he said they were expecting them end of this week or early next week sometime.

Attended the Pete Carlson Demo Days in Palm Desert, had the opportunity to demo all the G410's at the Ping booth at the College of the Desert outdoor range yesterday, really liked what Ping did with the 410 driver, a bit larger head & a bit more forgiving, that said, I'm not planning to swap my G400 for the 410 driver or 3 wood just yet. My guess is Ping will release a new "Slider" version next time around. I may upgrade my G400 Hybrids, they're 410's finally came out with an adjustable adapter. The sound is a bit similar to the G400, easy on the hearing. Also like the color scheme and new alignment aid on the back of the driver crown. If you have the opportunity give them a try.

Cheers

David

I am tempted to order a 410, I seem to be able to get it digitally lofted at 8*, at D4 swing weight at 44.75 inches but I can't seem to get the Pro Orange shaft in it! dam.

Now does anyone know of a list of what shafts you can get?

Also one hard question what weight of head would the 410 need to be to get it to play at D4 at 44.75 inches the PO as its counterbalanced?

If you go on TGW and click enter custom specs it has the shaft options.

was told you could get the Pro White but if I got that and changed to the Orange which I love then would need to add weight.

Went to order a F9 today, and my fitter told me to wait until I hit this. Very very intrigued now.

LOL

Right now I'm torn between the Epic Flash SZ and the Honma 747 but I won't make a final decision until I hit the G410.

Will they be making a G410 Max in 6 mos line they did with the G400?

If they did I’d be surprised.

There’s only 5 (I think) ccs of difference in the 410 and Max.

So the 410 is basically a hotter, adjustable max.

Likely will be an LST though.

Correct. No MAX replacement but LST coming this summer.

This.

Trademarks are relatively inexpensive and companies may trademark pretty much anything whether they will actually make it or not.

Imagine some start up company making a G410MAX and advertising it on Golf Channel,,,,,,,,,,,,,, then again, Ping might win that kind of a lawsuit based simply on the G410 part of the name but,,,,,,,, who knows for sure ?

True, but if they weren't planning on releasing one they would be smart to get that info out there so that people like me don't sleep on the G410 release because they are waiting on a G410 Max.

Why in the world would Ping come out with a G410 Plus and then 12 months later come out with a G410 Max? They've never done anything like that before. I would remember a dumb move like that...

Well the G400Max was released about 6 months after G400...

Iirc they released the g lst several months after the g and g sft

Any feedback on the fairways

I've been playing the g400 fairways a couple years. They perform, just need to get fit for loft. My only complaint is the higher pitch sound. I was hoping the 410 would be muted. I watched a golf tec youtube video where they hit the fairways at ping. They sounded really loud. Hope that's not the case...

Our club got our G410 demos (10.5* Regular SFT and a 9* Stiff G410, both with Alta CB shafts), so I took the 9* tiff out for a spin today.

Our course isn't super long (just under 6,700 yards from the blue tees), but there is a big premium placed on accuracy as there basically is no room for error outside of the fairways + 1st cut (lots of creeks and cliffs). Which is all to say I don't use driver a whole lot during a regular round.

My FIL got to hit the G410 at the PGA show in Orlando and really liked it, so I was pretty pumped to finally get to try it.

I hit the G410 on 5 holes and here are my thoughts:

I didn't like the sound, flight, or distance as much as my previous G400 (Alta CB) or my current G400 Max Aldila X-Torsion), but I hit 5/5 fairways with it.

They weren't pretty shots, kind of a loopy draw even with the weight in the fade position but, again, they were all in the fairway.

My natural tee shot is a fairly strong draw so I typically open the face up and play a baby fade. With the G410 I put the weight in the fade position and took my normal swing, so the weight definitely kept it from drawing anywhere near as much as would be normal.

Also, the ball flight was really high for a 9* Stiff for me. Almost as high as my old 10.5 G400 with the Alta CB shaft.

Bottom line: this will not be replacing my G400 Max (and I didn't like it better than my old G400). It did perform, but the shape and sound combo just did not give me enough confidence for me to be comfortable.

I hope PING comes out with a G410 Max if they can make it better than the G400 Max and if they do I look forward to testing it.
