Bubba's a horses-for-courses guy so hard to pick against him this week. I'm reading about wet conditions as well so not to pick on Rory but he seems to thrive in wet & soft (don't we all - in some form :taunt: ) so I'll throw a top 5 in there for him as well.

Seriously hoping that the TW, JT and Rory group is featured Thursday morning and afternoon here (I have a free slot to at least have the golf on in the background of the office) and then out in the afternoon/evening here.

 

This week's featured groups really interest me.

 

I'd like to see stats on Rory's play with JT as they've been paired together quite a lot in recent times, off the top of my head I reckon it wouldn't be great reading for Rory but I might wrong me.

I'm surprised Rory isn't complaining about the super group. I guess easier to throw some people under the bus than others.

I thought so, too, but apparently not.

 

I just figured Genesis was just as excited as the OP to get something going before Pebble was over they were carrying an "eligible" list of some kind.

 

If Phil wins, will be interesting to see if he has anything in the tank for this week.

I know Phil and Tiger are buddies now, but Phil has to feel pretty good showing up to Tiger's tournament saying "hey, look at me."

I was planning to attend tomorrow, but due to the rain, it looks like it's going to be Friday -- hopefully Riviera drains well, and it won't be too much of a mud-fest.

Bubba seems to have been dialing it back a bit recently so he's probably used to it, but it will be interesting to see DJ's reaction to having someone 25 past him all day...imagine that will be a new experience for him.

I think this is the week we might see the first slow play penalty Na, Koodiara, and Cantlay paired together, they are squeezed between Wise, potter and Murray who I think are relatively fast players while having Hahn Taylor and Langley in front who I’m not sure on.

I am quite interested in how this group shows as well.. I recall an interview many years back when DJ, spoke about having to dial it back to about 70% of max power in order to get his short irons under control.. I'd imagine he can still bomb it out there alongside Champ, if he so felt the need.

Volunteering here...tomorrow (Thursday) will be torrential...wouldn't be surprised to see half the rounds wiped out. JT was 8 under after 11 holes in pro-am, fwiw.

 

Traffic was worse than ever yesterday...this morning it took an hour to go from Palisades Village to Paul Revere...two days ago, 1:15 from course to Beverly Hills Hotel. Plan accordingly.

 

Look for a bomber to win...course will be playing very long.
