Yeah. I was at FSU same time as him. I was always playing tennis and he has a twin brother that played for their team. I used to see Jake sitting in the tennis bleachers with a guitar. Usually had a couple girls with him too. Didn't know he was going to be a mega star at the time. lol

Totally agree. Not just the sticks but also the bags themselves. Was great seeing the pros' carry bags this weekend in Phoenix. Those staff monstrosities are archaic. The stand bags help make the game more relatable to people just starting out, IMHO.

With that said, he is a complete class act and was very respectful and giving of time to fans during the event. He also was making charitable contributions for every birdie that he made during his days at the tournament. Being a member at the course where they played the event, not an easy track from 7500 yards.

Jake Owen has been playing with Spieth for years in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. I've seen him in concert and it's a great time! Nice bag!

He also hosts a pretty good event benefitting his charity in Vero Beach, Indian River Grapefruit ProAm. Pretty cool playing the same event as Jordan Spieth and Jason Day. Past couple years it’s been John Daly. I think some other names that play or have played include Kenny Perry (tour winner), Damon Greene (former looper for ZJ), Olin Browne (tour winner), Ken Duke (tour winner), Marco Dawson (tour winner and senior British open winner), Omar Uresti (PGA National Club Pro Champion), Rich Berbarian (PGA National Club Pro Champion), Nick Lindheim (2 time web tour champion). Pretty sweet event, with a great concert Saturday night!
