I like the look but why do I want a scallop taken out of the trailing edge of the sole like that? Don't I want more mass low and rearward behind the ball?
The cutout is a piece of their design heritage, the original Trusty Rusty wedges had it. It is part of the "tri-bounce" sole design although I'm not sure the notch actually does anything other than make the wedge recognizable as a Cobra wedge.
What's the marketing fluff story behind the concentric circles? Featuring new "Concentric Circle Technology"?
Like the rounded look. So much better to my eye. I always feel like some heel to toe radius makes it easier to slide the wedge under the ball. Really like that style out of the sand. Good looking wedges.
These looks quite nice actually, i think i saw Bryson was using them recently.
Seems like the back cut out can be useful for putting, haha.
Curious to know how the circular design on the face would help with anything technical ? I would assume there are also some other bounce options available.
Nice looking piece. Cobra has put out some nice wedges in the last few years
I bought one of these, 56/10, recently and just got it out on the range and the chipping area for the past few days. This is a very nice wedge, with nice spin around the greens. It is good on short shots, medium length shots, and full shots. The grind is very versatile, but I did find myself dig/chunk a few full shots although I can do that with any wedge that has 10 degrees of bounce or less. Feel is solid. I haven't gotten it out on the course yet, but initial impressions from range and short game testing are favorable.
