Cobra One Length Best Version

Seems to be lots of talk through many different posts regarding the different versions of Cobra's One Length irons. I've done a ton of reading but would love to know the opinions of those who have tried multiple sets.

F7's and Forged One are all same lie angle, where as F8's and Forged Tec are variable lie angles. And now the F9's are both varied lie angles and varied head weights in combination with using different shafts. I've seen Mike Schy (Bryson's coach) do some builds and talk about using the KBS TGI shafts with the Forged Tec irons, which really interests me. I think he is using a similar building process to what the F9's are now with the varied head weights and shafts.

I'm a high swing speed player who usually hits my 7-iron 185-190 yards. From doing my reading it seems like lots of people struggle with the 4 and 5 iron getting enough distance and a high enough launch angle. There's some good deals on the F7's on eBay, does any body have experience with the F7's who is a high swing speed player? My current thought is to grab a set of F7's on eBay for cheap, and then look to add a 3 and 4 one length driving iron.

Would love anyone's input.

They all suck. But, if they found a way to do it with the MBs, I would give them a bit more of a serious look and try.

If you're fitted for the sticks and you're used to using them as your go to iron, the only real way to get the strong irons in the year is soft stepping the shafts (more kick), or adding weight to the lowest part of the club head to promote more launch. I, too, am a high speed swinger.

I just switched to a driving iron myself from a hybrid and am extremely happy with my purchase but, I can't speak much for a one length version of it (TM 790 UDI with Project X 6.5 85 Gram shaft).

I really like the F7s. I like that all the lie angles and shaft weights etc are the same. If you have the swing speed the 5 iron will be just as easy to hit as any of the other irons. As for the F9s. I am pretty sure the head weights are all the same. They just use variable lie angles and play around with shaft weighting to promote higher launch in the long irons and lower in the wedges. If I decided to "upgrade" my F7s I would get either the forged tec blacks or the F9s. BUT as good as I am currently hitting my F7s it would be hard to argue that either set would be an improvement for me.
