Anyone crack their M5 yet? According to some it's a wide spread QC issue and 70% of drivers should be falling apart after a few swings.

Not a mark on mine yet w/ 3 rounds and about 300 or so range balls.

Sorry for the late response, I went with the 9 deg. I launch it right at 13.5-14 with the m5 in stock settings so it seemed to give me the best numbers. I didn't have a ton of time to try it in different setting since I tried out everything but I will soon to make sure it's optimized

I moved on from the M5 after 2 rounds. It was extremely long but the stock shaft Tensie Orange didn’t work for me. I was all over the place with my shots. Twist face wasn’t helping

Didnt even bother trying a couple new shafts? Seems like a bit early to give up on it

 

I didnt strike gold with a single fairway until I tried a few shafts and messed with the settings over a number of weeks

I’ve heard that twist face works for some and doesn’t for others. Is there a certain miss that twist face makes worse. My usually miss is the low heel slice, so I assume twist face will help me with. However, when I miss on the toe side I usually push my drive so on that instance twist face would make worse. I’ve hit the M5 indoors and love the look / feel but curious is twist face is for me.

I hit the m5 with tensei x and it was a hook. I hit the rocket m6 and oh my fracking god this awesome. Had to have one then reshafted it. Nirvana!!

I've only had mine on the range for 1 range session, but once I got it set up in the general neighborhood it looked like a keeper. We'll see once I get it on the course. Ordered mine with the 70g Smoke btw.

Rocket 3 and 5 showed up yesterday, will finally be able to hit them tomorrow. Just got them with the stock Tensei White X flex tipped as much as they will do. I’ve got a Kuro Kage dual core 80tx coming for the 3 and a diamana bf 100tx coming for the 5; won’t have those built up for a few weeks so will just try stock shaft this weekend.

Ive got a Kuro Kage dual core 80tx coming for the 3 and a diamana bf 100tx coming for the 5; wont have those built up for a few weeks so will just try stock shaft this weekend.

The m5 produced the highest balls speeds for myself. I came from an m3, tensei pro orange 70s tipped. Ended up with the m5, Tour ad gp7x at 45inches, d3 swingweight. The biggest disappointment was the f9

Also can someone tell me what a 14 m5 fairway specs would be down 1, 2, and 3 notches? I can apply the same to the 15 to decide which model to try.

Not a mark on mine so far after 3 games and two range sessions using plastic tees. Actually, I'm going out on a limb and say it has instantly become the best driver I have ever had. Came from M3 Tensei white and have 9 M5 Tensei Orange.

 

Maybe it is too early for the weak point to become strained however It's not an area where I see ever getting any contact with the tee or ground. Touch wood :fie:

Just got in my M5 3W with a 6.5 Smoke 70 shaft. I had it shortened 1/2” for control. I haven’t had the chance to go hit it yet.... looks great though. I bought it 100% based off my experience with my M5 driver and the 60 smoke shaft. If the smoke 70 doesn’t work out, I have a PW 70TX waiting in the wings!

 

Hopefully get to hit/play it nex5 week.

The M5 weights are not the same as the M3 weights, but they will fit in most of the front track of the M5. The M3 weight can go all the way to the front of the track, but there is a point near the rear of the front track where the M3 weight cannot go any farther. In the attached pic, the M3 weights are shown in their max front and back positions.

 

The M3 weights do not fit in the back track at all. I'm hoping TM will offer weights eventually since they had them available for M3.

BF 100tx in the 5wood is something out of fairy tales. Sounds like it has to perform. High flat bombs.

That’s kind of what I’m thinking. I’ve always played Rombax P95 in 5 woods, until about 2.5 years ago I switched to the Fujikura Pro 93 since they are a little easier to find in an X. Was going to go with one of those two and then I stumbled onto the BF 100TX almost by accident. I’m excited to get this one built up.

How are the M5/M6 fairway woods from the deck? How is the turf interaction for those who are able to get outside? Some background, my course has several monster uphill par 5s and lengthy par 4s so my primary use for a 3/4 wood is primarily off the fairway.
