Very unfortunate for you to get all this rain. Makes you realize why there are all those huge canals with nothing in them 99% of the time.

This happens every few years in the PS area but not on this scale. My house was adjacent to a wash and my boys loved it when it flooded. Closed roads = a lot of overtime for me which was nice, but the traffic problems were a big PITA. SoCal morons have no clue how to drive in the rain so we would spend a lot of time going from one TC to the next.

Several valley courses are built with many of their holes in the wash. The land is cheap and they know they’re going to have to rebuild every 10 years. Cimarron is trashed right now and I suspect it will take them a while to open as they lost some greens. Most of the other courses that use the washes only have fairways in the riverbed so they can open fairly quick.

Pro Tip- don’t drive through the water even if it doesn’t look very deep. I’ve seen many cars pushed off the road by less than a foot of swift moving water. I was actually surprised there were no fatalities this year because there usually are some whenever it gets this bad.

Just watched a bunch of videos of the the flooding and flood damage in the Palm Springs, Canyon and Cathedral areas. Just amazing knowing how deep and wide some of those canals are. Just under 4" of rain in the Palm Springs area which was the highest level since 1926.
