I've read it. The authors do a preface where they state that a lot of people they wanted to talk to had contracts that disallowed them from talking. However, they still found people to talk to.

I've seen and read a lot about Tiger, and a lot of the early stuff is new, but some of the later stuff feels like it was literally taken from other books (a lot from The Big Miss). The "best" part was the stuff about Earl Woods and what went on behind the scenes as Tiger played golf. I was pretty young and influcenable when Tiger first came out, so a lot stuff I heard Earl say about Tiger and thought it made sense. But after reading the book, I found it to be crazy the stuff Earl said, but also crazier than the media didn't report some things he said.

There is a new book since the one we talked about over and over a year ago?

And I’m serious about that. Haven’t heard.

No its probably a year old now. The one with tigers face on cover

Red one? It’s not bad. The other one is an example of regurgitated rumor and hit piece combined, lol. Totally forgot about it. But some enjoyed it I’m sure.

I definitely recommend the book. A very deep dive into Tiger, what made him the champion that he is as well as a lot of detail around the scandals.

You will run a gauntlet of emotions toward Tiger whilr reading....

No I wouldn't. It was more aggressive and really didn't spend enough time highlighting the golfing accomplishments. Kind of soap opera-Y. Just my .02. It does give some good insight into his early life and the dynamics of his family but it doesn't paint him in a positive manner in my opinion. It's kind of a muckraker's biography. Less on the positive aspects of his life and more on the shock media stuff you'd find in the grocery stores.

Longtime Tiger fan here - I would reccomend the book. It dives down deep to talk about all aspects of his life. It also reveals flaws that we also have in some form or another. It talks about just where/when/why he got his cutthroat ways of winning that has taken him far.

The book also explains why he is the way he is with people. I wish there had been more people from his current inner circle talk but I get why they didnt. Most people willing to talk had bad endings with him so there is a negative slant to their perspective.

I would reccomend the book.

I'd say definitely read it. I took it on holiday with me last year and I was engrossed in it. It made for perfect reading as I was sat by the pool in the Mauritian sunshine with a beer :)

I assume you’re talking about the one by Keteyan and Benedict? I thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a lot of eye opening stuff in there. I can’t imagine going through life being Tiger Woods.

I’m about 1/2 through. They definitely s*** on Earl for a while and they don’t hold any punches regarding Tiger either.

Fascinating book. I knew a little about Earl Woods, but I didn't realize how Earl made Tiger mentally strong and encouraged a lot of his bad tendencies all at once.

The book writes off Tiger and says he's basically done, which at the time the book was written sure looked like the case. The authors didn't see last year coming.

Great point here!

As time passes, and the immediate emotionally heavy grossness that swamped Tiger’s public image in 2009-10 washes away, we could be looking at this guy as the most resilient athlete ever. The book wrote him off.

Great book...I’ve read most of the TW stuff out there and found a few stories I Hadn’t heard/read before. Also very, very informative and in depth about his early days and US Am wins. Great read.

I think he can win another. If he gets in contention enough times, someone’s bound to choke (unlike F. Molinari). I don’t think he’ll ever admit he’s playing for Jack’s record though...delicate ego.

I thought it was a phenomenal book, extremely well written.

Regarding the 'muckraking' I think they take a very objective view of the life events in Tiger's life, as much as they could considering Tiger will never do a book he isn't able to scrub before publishing.

The Mark O'Meara Hall of Fame induction absence was the biggest eye opener to me, just wild how cold blooded Tiger is.

I enjoyed it but I wondered if it was a bit sensational at times. I did find the concept or theory that tiger has reactive attachment disorder and that it has direct ties to sex addiction one of the more interesting parts of the book. Overall I would recommend it to anyone, even non-golfers.

btw, reactive attachment disorder is what Matt Damon's character in Good Will Hunting is supposed to have. just food for thought. (loyalty and lack of emotional intimacy a major concept in that movie)

I’m not sure if that move was cold blooded or if Tiger was just whacked out on pills and totally messed up. I think Tiger genuinely loves Mark and probably wishes he could go back and get his things in order so he could have been there.

It was the Monday of the Open Championship at St. Andrews, so he was there and chose not to go, the book didn't explicitly say it but it seems like they don't talk anymore. Mark also excluded any mention of Tiger in his speech, when it's very public that Tiger was a big motivation for him in 1998.

I would also disagree, the book makes it very clear that remorse is not something Tiger expresses often...if ever.
