So the T1 is going to be more shallow face/forgiving than the TS2?

I certainly can see it as being possible that Titleist would look to go down that route although, as I said a few weeks ago, I wonder if this might be the reintroduction oft he MOTO offerings that Titleist had when they came out with the 915D4 a few years ago.

If they do come out with them, my hope is that the headcovers might be better than those for the TS2 and TS3.

I like the headcovers for the TS line. What don't you like about them?
best stock head cover ever made imo

Man I hate my TS3 headcover, ill fitting and looks cheap.

Dont want to sidetrack too much but they’re also the best I’ve seen. Only better was the pxg driver headcover.

TS1 and TS4 will come out later this year - maybe around the same time as the Ping Blueprint. One will be a more compact head driver, while the other will be a more forgiving one. One of them might even be a glued model.

Keep an eye out on updates of the MB and CB too, but Titleist won't stop with just these two new iron model updates. Expect more brand new models to be coming out in different categories which are not updates to the AP Series (which aren't due for updating yet anyway).

Towards the end of the year, keep an eye out for the SM8 wedges.

... but then again, this is all pure speculation and guessing. image/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

The TS3 is the best offering for me in quite some time. I hit my 917 3 weeks ago and couldn't believe how poorly it felt compared to the TS3. I'm sure there are people that need a TS1 or TS4. Ok, no I don't:)

I stand corrected and thank you for pointing it out.

Yes, it will indeed be the AP Series that will be updated this year but will be more than the current 3 models. This year will be the year of the Titleist irons.

SM8 will be this year, remember the year is still a long way from being done.

TS1 and TS4 are coming too - they won't replace TS2 and TS3 but complement it. One of the new models will probably be glued.

    Again, that is pure speculation. image/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I may have guessed wrong. None will be glued. One will be a compact head (440cc?) with lower spin than TS3.

The other will be 460cc with a bigger footprint and designed for those looking for a lighter club.

Both will be all-titanium, no composite crowns if you were thinking it would be a VG3 rehash (it won't).

My money still on SM8 being available for order before end of thus calendar year.

I keep trying to ask about these on the team Titleist FB page and they won’t allow it to be posted as they have to approve every post. Might be a reason they don’t want anyone discussing these two heads.
  • trhodetrhode Fitter / Builder Members Posts: 1,961 ✭✭
TS1 will be a lighter version kind of like XXIO and Epic Star heads. TS4 will be a lower spin version similar to the D4.

That would be the reaction to any brand that is working on something. You would get the same if you asked about next vokey release or the irons. Even if they weren’t working on these drivers for this year they wouldn’t respond

AP lineup needs some refurbishing. Would love to see what they can do to make them better though.
