How long could you go without hitting a new club you bought?

So back in November I bought a Callaway rogue SZ driver, but due to Wisconsin weather I haven't hit it. I have hit other rogues during a fitting but not mine since I bought it. I'll be honest, it is driving me nuts.

 

How long do you think you guys could go?

 

Never gone more than a few days without hitting a club I bought.

 

Of course, it it's during the winter, "Hitting" means accidentally taking out a light fixture ... :busted_cop:

I'm with you, WI guy here as well. Bought some new SM7s around October/November and haven't hit a ball with any of them yet. This winter has been.....odd. It's snowed maybe 4 times and we have 3.5' of snow, it's crazy.

 

I'm heading to Mexico in a few weeks for a work trip, so I'll get 2 rounds in down there then to Florida where I'm playing in a member/guest with the pops-in-law. Trial by fire is the only way to go

I bought 2 new Vokey SM7 wedges in November (52 and 58 deg), end of season sale, $100 each, souldnt resist as mine were several years old. Havent hit them yet, itching pretty bad since I use them a LOT during each round.

Not new club, but new shaft for driver and I’ve been battling my first round of the GOUT in my big toe. Never had it before but it’s very painful, it’s been killing me not to be able to try the new shaft

Got a new shaft for my 5w 3 weeks ago, have yet to hit it. And I bought a new 3w last week, and haven't hit it yet. Of course it has rained almost every day for two weeks now, and my back hasn't been right either, but I am ready to try these out.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this struggle. I'm about to book some time on a simulator just to finally get to take some swings with it. Spring cant come soon enough!

Just received a call to say my Flash Sub Zero has been delivered to the shop. Can't pick it up until the weekend. Frustrating.

I received my new G410 irons on Monday and counting the seconds till Saturday, when finally I will be hitting them for the first time!!

I got a new m2. Yeah, I know it’s an old model already. Still, I take it out in my backyard and swing it. Then I kick off the snow from my boots and take my parka off and put it back in my bag. Sigh.

I just got a minty M2 myself, lot of hoopla surrounding it, dying to hit it. Unfortunately, Wisconsin snow this year is unreal, worst winter in my lifetime. 20"+ on ground with a foot more this weekend possible.

Texas winters are fairly mild, so even in the off-season I still wouldn’t be able to wait more than a day or two.

Being as I know it's going to be pretty much same as one I have......quite a friggen while

 

East coast and north guys froth at the mouth to wait for snow to clear so they can play......in south where we play all year long it's not that big a deal....probably better to be there vs here as you have something to look forward too and enjoy every minute where here it's just another day.....take a club out next day no matter what month it is....so now I dont really care

 

Although I will say M6 has been best driver I've had in yrs, it's just combination of everything that fits really well and not head only.....driving it better than I've done since SF TP 2.0

WarEagle- day 2 here. Hopefully picking the driver up from the store tomorrow. Weather is looking good in England. Should be around 16C (60F), so course time is on the cards!

I got my new F9 driver 2 weeks ago, and I am itching to hit it. Unfortunately, between work and horrible weather, it could be months before I actually get to hit it. It is also driving me alittle nuts. I have considered arranging a trip to Arizona, as I have a few friends who belong to Whisper Rock and Desert Mountain, but I don't think I am going to find time to get out there.

 

Same boat. My answer? Keep purchasing new shafts to test in the head.

Winter in general sucks, not being able to hit new to me gear really sucks.

Got me some Miz mp-53's & 60's, epon 302's[2 sets], ping i500's, G400 5&9 woods, ping stealth wedge set, yet to hit, so ya I feel your pain Lefty. So.......I'm thinking it's going to be 4-5 months for me.
