These look like the 2015 Z-Stars based on the markings and boxes.

 

Yepper..."pre" SpinSkin.

The first Z-Star line with SpinSkin was released in 2013. The 2019 Z-Star ball line is the 4th generation SpinSkin and 6th generation Z-Star.

 

Don't forget the SeRM and FastLayer core! ?

Went to 3 stores this morning, finally found some white Z’s (no XV). Cashier removed the security device and I opened them up at the checkstand... shocker it was Wilson 50-50’s in the Box. Bummer but not surprised as it has become extremely common.

Wish I had seen this early, picked up five dozen Srixon Z-Stars today for $17 -- make that four dozen and one dozen Taylormade Burner balls that had been switched into one of the Srixon boxes. Could have been worse balls to have been in that box, I suppose.

wow thats a sneaky move. Burner is a pretty good ball like you said considering some other balls that might have been switched.

I went 0-for-2 in NJ. One had two boxes of Z Star for $17, with Spin Skin but unsure of the year. Other had the 6 dozen reflected on that site above but they were Z Star and $25. The tag on the rack said XV but were all the wrong mode.

Just picked up a dozen white and a dozen yellow in the Z Star. The shelf had them marked at full price but the store price checker priced them at $17.00. Defiantly a prior generation but they have the spin skin.

The stores in my area had some white with the spin skin and some yellow without. They both were $17 even though the shelf sticker was $25.

Had this happen yesterday. Brickseek said 4 in stock. None to be found. I asked an employee. He checked his inventory scanner. Said “it shows we have 3 in stock but someone probably walked out with them” like it was as normal as the sun rising.

Found 3 dozen in my store. Debated a while but eventually bought them, 2 dozen white and 1 yellow. Really didn't need them, but for $17 it's hard to pass up. But keep in mind people these are at least a few generations old.

Some stores are out of them but Dicks and golf galaxy had the 2019 6 ball trial packs for $10 a piece.

Woodbridge NJ Dicks has the trial packs. I picked up 10 but they have more. Combined with the 5 dozen from GolfDiscount I’ll be good for this season.

Thanks for the suggestion, went to the Robinson mall DSG, they had about 6 dozen of the trial packs. Z-Star, spin skin, white.

 

Although I really prefer the yellow, I bought 3 dozen. Between those and the Walmart deals, I'm good for a while.

 

Every year I say, no more balls. And every year another deal shows up....

Can anyone talk about the different versions of the Z-Star. I did some searching but couldn’t differentiate. I picked up 10 dozen: 4 dozen 2013 yellow, 4 dozen 2013 white and 2 dozen 2015 white. I’m trying to decipher if there is enough difference in the 2019 models for $20 per dozen (Golf Galaxy trial pack deal). Thanks in advance!
