Cobra F9 Speedback Driver $372.05

Update on my order... I emailed asking about the extra sole weights (which we had agreed upon via email multiple times). The response was...not promising...for how this will get resolved.

 

"Cobra added weight to the driver by adding it to the end of the shaft as to adjust for swing weight. The weights you see on the sole of the club are for face angle manipulation."

 

I wrote back that this was not acceptable and not what we discussed. I also asked for clarification on what this even meant (tip weight?) and how they planned to get me a standard shaft cut 1" short and the sole weights I was promised and which Cobra itself uses for tour length club builds. I don't think this will go well and I expect that I will have to file a PayPal claim and return. Hold off on any orders if you are contemplating.

 

Will update ASAP with more info. Discount Dan's is looking like the better option, to be honest.

 

There’s no way I’d send it back. I’d just keep it. Cutting it to length is easy enough. Just Use 8 grams of lead tape until the aftermarket weights hit ebay in a month or two. They’ll probably only be $8-10 bucks or so.

 

If you only paid just over $330 I think You got a good enough deal to just make The best of it.

 

If you really have to have a tour length I imagine someone on this site will take it off your hands for $350 shipped.

Yeah if you already have it in hand, just email cobra directly and let them know what transpired, im sure they will work something out with you with the weights. If your order has yet to ship, cancel it and order from DDs

I got a reply this morning apologizing for the delay, was told order status update coming today.

I have never inquired about or bought anything from DDs before, but now they are at the top of my list.

I ordered a custom M5 driver from Halpenny to take advantage of a 2 dz. TP5 promo. Just curious the order timeframe for those that have ordered from Halpenny before. My card was charged 10/17, and the order shows as “complete” on their site, but there is no shipping info and none of my tracking apps show a package inbound. It’s not out of the window I’d expect for a custom order, and I am not so concerned that I am ready to start bugging them yet. I was just wondering what others in the states that have ordered from them have seen as a timeframe from ordering to shipping?

FYI - I got home from work and there was a slip from the mail man for my driver. Guess my question is answered. I got a pretty good deal on the driver, plus two dozen TP5s, with custom options, less than 12 business days from date of order purchasing from a retailer located in the UK. Just speaking to the turn around time, I'd order from Halpenny again if the price were right.
