Old Navy Slim Go-Dry Pants - how do they hold up?

We've got a new active polo hitting stores tomorrow called the "breathe" polo. It's supposed to be a performance material that feels soft like a t-shirt. I'm pretty excited about them, I ordered 3 the other day. All of our active polos seem to fit short so I order the "tall" sizes so they stay tucked in. I know this thread is about the pants but don't sleep on the polos! We've come a long way the last few years!

Do they make the 4-way stretch shorts in an 8-inch inseam? If so I would definitely get a few pairs. Save me from taking mine to a tailor.

No, just the 10" so far. We've started carrying some different lengths in the regular khaki but it hasn't made its way to any of the performance styles yet.

No, 30 is the shortest inseam that we have.

Honestly, I don't even know why it is listed...I have never seen these available in a 29" inseam. I wish they were because I need the same thing! Maybe it's an option that's coming but I really don't think it is. If it does, it will most likely only be available in select waist sizes.

The 50 off sale was just for the weekend so it ended on Sunday. These sales are pretty much always only 2 days over a weekend.

Yes! We have a couple of colors in store this week (navy and a lighter blue) and a few more on the site. It looks like there are a few more colors on the way, a white and a dark grey. The ones I ordered came in today and they are really nice...super soft and comfortable but still a "performance" feel to them.

I've lost about 30 pounds recently so I've been progressing down in size in these pants. I started off with the 40x32, then 38x32, and today the 36x32 arrived. They fit fine at the waist (actually slightly loose), and now definitely feel like a slim-fit pant in the calf and lower thigh area. First time I've ever had a pair of pants with this type of fit, that actually fit me. They might be a little form-fitting for work at the moment, but if I can keep going and lose another 10-15 pounds they should loosen up in the legs a little.

So whoever mentioned the old navy sizing issues wasnt kidding. Holy cow. I looked like a crazy person in the fitting room with like 16 pairs of pants trying to find two size 34x32s in the gray and blue that fit the same. I ended up finding a perfect gray pair, but the blues all fit too tight or about 2" too loose and were falling off. So strange

Use these for work and golf. They are on the slimmer side. Sizing is inconsistent like others have mentioned but can’t beat the price, especially with old navy sales

Correct. That is why I mention the inconsistency, every chance I get. Don’t get me wrong, I love these pants. They’re basically all that I wear for work and golf. They have also become my go to pant for traveling/flying. The sizing issue, however, cannot be overstated. You must try something on before buying. The numbers mean almost nothing.

Two pairs of shorts and a pair of pants delivered today—to say I’m pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Fit was fine on all three, and the fabric is incredibly lightweight. Looking forward to putting them to the test on golf course, but first impression is a good one.

Just bought one today in store after checking out this thread. Light and comfy.

 

I found these new one to be more cotton feeling and soft than the previous dry polos that felt a lot more poly and stretch. These are by no way a "classy" polo with a big stay nice collar, but considering 96% of my golf is just at the muni or casual round with friends this is that perfect style shirt. Only thing to note for those that plan to purchase online is that they are quite thin and maybe a tiny we bit sheer but like I said before, for the price I think its fantastic value to get a season out of one of these.

Looks like we have another 50% off Active event scheduled for this Sunday 3/31. I'm not sure if it will be online too, but in store it will be a great chance to check out the pants we all love, the new polos and we've started getting the Go-Dry shorts in, as well!

These would also be the ultimate pant in white. The material is thick enough not to be see through, but still cool. They would also be cheap enough you could replace em once trashed. They would sell a load of these in white and light gray.

I am a huge advocate for the _Old Navy Active Go-Dry_ pants.

I have two pairs in every color I can find and I wear them six out of seven days of the week.

I have turned on three people to these pants and they are also hooked.

Compared to Nike, Izod, Under Armour: I much prefer the Old Navy pants.

I often get asked if I am wearing Lulelemon (sp?) pants. I've never had a pair, so I can't compare.

I have a few pair, really like them for casual and golf wear. My only issues are ...

1) I want a darker tan color. They had a bandolier brown that would be great

2) I like the button pockets on the newer style, but I like the gusseted crotch on the older style. Combine both and they would be perfect.

Same here I like how I can wear them to work then out to the course.

Heck yea, I was at ON and they had them on sale for 50% in store already.
