Best Hybrid of recent years

Hit my only two hole in ones with my x2hot pro 20 hybrid. It was eventually stolen with my set and the new one is good but no more aces.
Nice work.. been golfing 30 years and not had one yet.. How far back were you hitting those HIO from with the hybrid? Nailing not one but two from 200 yards is verging on rudeness.. :-)

Before Ping came in and hooked me up, I was a Callaway guy and I have to agree the X2Hot Pro is a beast (I still have it btw), I am currently in Afghanistan and haven't been able to play (went to Florida in December and played a bit) but the Ping G 19* works very well for me, a bit more accurate but definitely not as long...I also have an Adam Super Proto 9031 and it is solid, I put in play once in a while ad rang sessions.

I'm a hybrid junkie. I bought a Ping Anser just for giggles once and I now have a 2,3,4,and 5. You can fade them or hit draws. One of the best feeling hybrids ever. They do everything very well.

Depends on how much forgiveness you need. Cally Apex is basically an Adams Pro head and that is a big endorsement. For above average players IMO. Callaway Rogue a bit bigger but far more forgiving. Also really like the 816 H1 — with a Diamana Blue that was a nice combo.I like the TM M4.

But I am playing the X2 Hot Pro with an Aldila Tour Blue shaft. I know it well and it is hard to see much gain from changing. All I want from a hybrid is 200 yards carry and stop on a green. All of the ones I list will do that for me.

Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond 10.5 w/Diamana TB 60S

Yamaha RMX VD 7 wood w/Diamana S-plus 70 stiff

The Cobra FlyZ hybrids shine for a mid-HDCP player who squares up at impact fairly well. As with many Cobra long club models, it comes in 2-3H, 3-4H, and 4-5H. Across the three heads, you get a loft span of from 16° to 25°, with multiple draw settings available in each head.

The two-head bridging (i.e., 3-4H) allows for flexibility in adjustment. If you want a 3H with a 41.25" shaft, go with the 2-3H head set at maximum loft. If you want it with a 40.5" shaft, go with the 3-4H at minimum loft. You don't need to break out the hacksaw.

The stock Matrix VLCT Altus shafts are decent, delivering a mid-high flight. Test out the FlyZ first, as the VLCT shafts are a bit firm to flex. I play R-flex in all my clubs, except for A-flex in the FlyZs. Existing FlyZ hybrids also feature a scattering of Matrix Red Tie and White Tie shafts.

http://www.golfalot....eview-3175.aspx

Follow-on Cobra hybrids in the F7 through F9 models add parallel rails to the bottom of the sole.

The Tour Edge CBX and CBX119 excite golfers who have high clubhead speed. TE bills these solid-head hybrids as left-proof, overcoming that utlimate sin of which hybrids are accused. Heads come in single-degree increments from 16° to 20°, and a 22° also. A fair number of the GolfWRX golfers play this hybrid.

Stock shafts in the original CBX are Project X and Kuro Kage. https://www.touredge...s/cbxhybrid.asp

I don’t like being that guy who throws out a club that doesn’t meet the OP criteria (in this case too old) but I have to say, the Callaway Big Bertha Diablo 2hi (18°) from 2009 is the best hybrid I’ve ever had. It’s long, it has rails for turf interaction (it’s great in that regard) and most importantly any kind of swing is going to go somewhere, extremely forgiving.

It’s my rocket launcher, must hit fairway tee club, and par-5 attacker.

I still find myself going back to the original Rescue Mid TP. Tried an 07 TP and didn’t like the look, tried a tour issue 09 deep face, and a tour Rescue 11 tp. None FEEL as good as the Rescue Mid TP’s.

What’s even more, I prefer the stock dynamic gold s400’s in them too. Current playing a 16 and 22 and just love them. Solid, dependable, and LONG!

I have hit nearly every PING hybrid to date... G25 is my second favorite to the G400. Both easy to elevate and produce reasonable spin. Had an affair with the I20 that was short lived (went left on me a lot). The 410 is very interesting, but I haven't hit it yet.
