2019 Bag Is Set Challenge

It would be interesting to do a lifespan analysis on this. I feel like it would be similar to a 3rd world country. There's a high rate of infant mortality, then a spike in early adulthood (when the new lines come out in the spring), but if you can survive those you have a very high probability of making it to old age. Sure, cancer is going to pick off a few along the way (new putter, new driver), but I'd say most of the casualties are in a couple of large clusters.

 

Lol, this is absolutely brilliant and unquestionably true! My father is going on at least 8 years with the EXACT same set of sticks and yet I can't make it past Valentine's Day 4 years running! He is a wise elder of the tribe while I'm an infant that keeps getting eaten by bears and/or falling in a darn river.

Replace “3rd world” with “less developed country” and “cancer” with “famine and disease”. Otherwise, a very accurate and apt description.

But I’m demoing a 718 AP2 PW that may replace the T-MB PW. Already had the AP2 50 and hit it really well. I like the lower flight and slightly more spin in that part of my bag.

Don't know how long I'll last as I'm considering adding a mid-mallet style putter (Toulon Memphis or Atlanta) and possibly a 5-iron replacement at some point (new Apex CF19, Apex Pro, Epic Pro) but to start 2019 only one change from 2018 and that is the new PM grind 58 degree replacing the older model.

Im out.  I still had 2 weeks left for my 90 day trade-in, be replace my G400 stretch 3w for G410 3w.  Reason? Couldn't stand looking down at such a huge 3w head, and its an early birthday present to myself.  My Nike VR Pro Ltd 3W was the safest club for 4 years, until i broke it at the hosel.  Now I'm starting to tinker into DIs and anything they would fit the 5W to 4i gap.

I will definitely participate in this! I’m sure it will make my girlfriend happy ?. However, I will need to cheat slightly as I do not have a 14th club yet (need something between 4 wood and 4 iron). Once the snow melts, I will solidify this spot at the first Titleist Demo day (April 4th). I will post my setup at this point and stick to it!!

I’m actually really excited about my bag this year. I had quite a beginners bag up until this point so trying to progress my game so I can shut my father in law up lol. Anyway here is what I currently have:

 

Driver: Callaway XR16 8.5, speeder evo stiff (disclaimer: have a g400max en route so that may take its place)

3wood: G400 14.5 tour stiff shaft, falling in love with this club

Irons: Mizuno jpx900 Forged 4-gw; purchased this year, let’s just say it will be difficult to get these out of my bag for a while

Wedges: Vokey sm6 56, and an older Cleveland cg 60 degree( have had this a while and trust it)

Putter: odyssey metal x milled 7,

 

Still working on hitting a 4 iron so that may get bumped out by a hybrid but I’m pretty excited about this season.
