I found the P770s and the AP2s to be extremely similar, I got the P770s new on ebay for $400 so that was the biggest factor for me.

Just buy whatever you like and love the feel of. You hit an iron at least once on every hole unless you're a bomber and go driver SW or something. For me, irons are obviously about getting the right fit, but also about feel, sound, and beauty. Plus, nobody here is on tour or being paid to play (most everybody at least) so playing what is most fun that let's you score the best you can is what I find to be most important.

So your gonna ask a bunch of club ho’s to talk you out of buying a new set of clubs? Are you sure your not looking for someone to push you over the edge?

    Just kidding

Nothing wrong with AP2’s. Is there something your looking for that the AP2’s aren’t giving you?

You say just kidding but you’re kinda right (and I mean no offense to the OP). It all depends on what you get the most enjoyment from. I’ve bought 6 or seven sets of irons this year already. 3 currently in bst and a few have been traded for different things. If you want to score well and that’s the end game then pick a set and stick with them. If you’re like the majority of the rest of us ho away. Either way I wish you the best in the golf quest.

Well I’m out in California on business and I got out and played a round yesterday. Took about 8-9 holes to knock off the rust. However got reminded why I have the AP2s in the bag. They are just solid performers for me. Not going to stop me looking and hitting different sets though!!
