New 2019 Bushnell Pro XE

Recommended Posts

That is all you need in a rangefinder!

Yes. I currently play in France with weather in the 40's at sea level and I will go soon to South Africa with about 5750 feet of elevation and temperature in the 80's.

It's a difference of about 40 yards on a drive and 20 yards on a 7 iron which is huge!

I think this is great.

Much like having the green maps of my own course allows me to "calibrate" my A.P.E. green reading with my feet every time I play, having this information available will allow the golfer to "calibrate" their numbers much, much better.

I wonder why Bushnell has not updated their website yet with the new offering?

Because it will be available only late march

They wanna keep selling their other products in the interim

Are they dropping prices of the current models once this is released?

Some stores might discount the X2 because it's the same price, 550$ but won't offer the same features. So they'll have to discount whatever stock they have left.

Doubtful, they just raised prices on all models a few months back, typically they dont do Rebates/discounts except at fathers Day and Christmas.

I really hope someone annouces something cheaper with similar technology. I travel ALOT and play different courses in significantly different altitudes and always have trouble getting "calibrated". Its a must buy for those that travel.

Leupold’s rangefinders have taken account for elevation and temperature for years. They refer to it as “True Golf Range.” It’s on every rangefinder they sell with slope, not just the flagship models.

Apparently Bushnell is going to release a new rangefinder at the PGA show called the PRO XE which will factor in Altitude and Temperature.

"With the Pro XE, we take that adjusted distance one step further. The E is for elements - temperature and adjusted altitude have been factored into the “Play As” equation to give you the most accurate compensated distances ever."

Anyone with pictures or more infos?

this thing is sweet!

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm surprised it’s still not up on their website yet and we haven't seen or heard anything new about it since the PGA show since it's supposed to be released in a few weeks.

Only major thing I am buying for golf this year is a laser and been thinking about it too much lately. 220 dollar price difference.

XE - more expensive and has features that i still don't know will really help in the real world.

v

Precision Pro 9 - 7x zoom, slope and seems everything I need.

Wish either of the companies would fill in all the information needed to make the decision.

  • Titleist TSR3 9* Ventus Black 6X
  • Taylormade Sim2 15* Tensei White 80TX
  • TM Stealth 2 Iron or Ping i59 3 iron Project X 7.0
  • Artisan MB 4-9 Project X 7.0
  • Artisan 46*, 50* Project X 6.5
  • Artisan  55*, 60* S400
  • Artisan BlueBonnet Carbon 0217

If you don't travel and need altitude adjustment and if you're asking yourself this question, go with the cheaper one.

If you play all over I can see going with this new one, otherwise I’m going Leupold and their lifetime warranty all day every day.
