Ive played MP53 with S300 for 8 years....

They need to be replaced.

Should I go 919 Forged? Or MP18 SC? Which mizuno irons currently are most similar to my MP53s?

Thanks

IMO MMCs are closest with 919F next. No real cavity/slot on MMCs like mp53 but tungsten/titanium (moving weight aroun) has similar effect. And size of MMCs more similar to mp53 than 919F which have longer blade length.

The JDM 55s are the natural replacement in the line. New sets can still be purchased on tourspec.

I went from 53s to the 55s and they are great irons. Probably my favorite set of all time.

MP18 MMC, from everything I've read.

SC's are closer to the 64's/62's.

JDM MP66 is what you want, Tourspec sell them or order from Rakuten.

The 66s are more of a traditional player’s CB with less forgiveness than the 53/55 line. They are beautiful sticks though.

My bad, I didn't realise MP 53 had a split cavity in the longer irons...thought that was just the MP54.

The most current iteration of the 53 line is the MP 25. It has a micro slot cavity that is hidden by the badging. While the mp 18mmc would look and maybe "perform" similar to the mp 53 in the short irons, the feel will be different especially in the long irons. The MMC belongs in the in the MP 58/59/15 line. For me the JPX 919 FORGED is the "most" similar to the 53. Yes, the size, top line, blade length, offset, and finish are not similar to the MP 53 but the performance and hotness off the face is the most similar to the mp 53. To me your choices either give you slight less forgiveness (mp 18 MMC) or more forgivenss ( JPX 919 forged)

    FWIW

I bought the Wilson V6's (yes, I know not Mizuno), to me they felt better than current Miz offerings and closest to MP53.
