Great job. I want to try this but I'm too a scared. I worry that I'll ruin an otherwise nice putter because of some dumbbell move I make. Or, that I'll set my house on fire or get a 3rd degree burn.

yeah, the clear green. I only use just enough to cover the area. that is the big secret. People use way too much paint when using the clears

Agreed! It took me about 10 applications to figure that out haha! Love the clears though, especially the smoke!

How do these torched finishes hold up? Do you have to put in any effort to maintain them or just wipe them off after a round?

That's nice, I like the smoke look. I just couldn't do it to mine because of all the flat black torched out there. It looks good on the satin finish. I'm a big fan of the clear blue, however I have the green theme on all of my clubs as you can see so I figured I'd stick with it.

Don't know actually. We were out after a work Christmas party and the bartender opened a new bottle in front of me and I asked for the bag. My wife was laughing at me because she knew I wanted it for my golf bag.

Bringing this back from the dead!

 

My youngest just turned 2 years old, so I have a little time back to mess with putters!

 

First project is a classic Odyssey Triforce 3...Stripped it down, removed the tungsten flange, removed the black face, removed the paint, light torch job to get mostly wheat colored with a few bursts of purple and blues. Kept tungsten flange stock silver color for contrast, which should go great with the custom one off deep milled aircraft aluminum face insert SpryEvo is making for it!

 

I just sent the putter to Charles today, I will be adding pictures as soon as she comes back.
