TaylorMade Spider Tour

Recommended Posts

As dumb as this may sound, I liked that the previous Spider Tours used the old weights from the old Taylormade Drivers. So when I got the DJ version of the Spider Tour, I kept monkeying with all the different weights until I got the right feel. With this model, I do like it because the head looks a little more compact but now they are going with a different weights system. Bummer...

I think this is already at retail. I was recently fit twice (once at The Club Fix, FW, and Hybrid and once at Club Champ for Driver/Wedges). I saw it at both. Really small head. But WHAT a great feel.

This putter is not a retail option. You must be thinking of the non flow neck mini in red paint that has been out retail for a bit.

Nope, the one I saw was the copper color. A bit smaller than the spider tour.

You must be confusing this with the Spider X then. If the putter in the picture is in a store then buy it. It is a tour only proto.

Don’t know if it was for sale or not. Didn’t ask as I was at both for a fitting and putter was not under consideration. Maybe it should have been. LOL

I think I love you Taylorx...

Taylorx is a good guy. From what I can tell he has inside scoop on a lot of upcoming releases, etc. and actually tells us about it instead of making some vague comments so people know he's in the know, but doesn't tell us what he knows.

Thanks for the props.

I like to share what I can and when I can.

Some stuff I see is covered by a company’s disclosure policy, which I would never jeopardize. So I do apologize if sometimes my comments seem vague, just trying to pass along info

Any idea on potential timeline for custom myspider x? Really want to try one without a sightline.

Was told during launch that Spider X will move to the MySpider program but probably not till end of year so no timeframe yet.

Any idea how much toe hang this one will have? The Spider X is 30, so definitely curious here. Thanks for the info so far!

Would love to see this happen. The new body style with neck, color, and sight line options would be awesome.

From what we've been shown at retail, it's just the copper body with traditional sight line.  No wide white stripe sight line like the Spider X.

Can't wait until this comes out and can be had with no sightlines. I tried to go to the spider x but I missed everything left with the lines. Back to my all black spider now but really do prefer the weight balance and feel of the x. I would love to have a spider mini slant neck. In the copper its kind of hard to cover up the sightline though.

Feels great off the face. Also, love the white wit the sightline. Frames the ball so nicely.
