My 910D2 Driver and my Scotty Cameron Kombi-S (my avatar is of the face of that putter) are the two that come to mind.

Two of the only clubs I've bought new in the last 15 years. Neither club really works for me now (spin-killing tech has come a long way, and I'm no longer a SBST putter), but they were two of my most reliable sticks over the years when I was able to play some great golf.

They've seen St. Andrews (Old Course, New Course, Jubilee Course, Castle Course), Gullane, Torrey Pines, Hamilton Golf and Country Club, North Berwick, Pelican Hill, and dozens of other great courses in between.

I have a "Hall of Fame" rack at my house of retired clubs I keep on the wall. There are about 5 clubs on there, but those two are the cream of the crop.

My Shamrock Model 101 putter - my "original", which I got from the sales rep way back in the early '70's, a proto putter he used to show customers for orders, was lent to a friend who was supposed to give it back to me. Unfortunately, he died, and no one knows where the putter went. I'm still looking.

But, I found a 34" still all original - I say it won't ever get sold, but I'd sell my mother if the money was right.

The Cleveland Launcher 400 I purchased brand new in 2003 that I used for years, and still occasionally use when the regular driver goes sideways. Beyond that anything can go out at any time, aside from the 2 putters I put my childrens' names and birth dates on.

Also Have my dad's 1969 Wilson staff DynaPower Bullet Back irons 2-SW in great shape. They'll go to one of my younger brothers or nephews should something happen to me.

The ONE club I will never sell is a putter, nondescript, neck recently snapped (will repair) that I used to putt with my late grandfather in his backyard. I have the putter I used and the putter he used, and we did that for the first 10 years of my life. He had two holes with old cans in the ground, about 30 feet apart in the lawn and we’d putt back and forth.

Other sacred clubs: my first irons, hogan radials, my great-grandfather’s spalding persimmons from the 50’s, my Stan Thompson Pw, and my Dunlop Solution 22° hybrid, my first hybrid, and the club I used for my last approach for my first break of 80.

Can I say set of irons?

I'll never sell my Hogan FTX iron set. It was my first "real" set of irons i got in high school. Really cut my teeth on these irons and i still love them to this day.

I keep them at my father in laws in Florida and every time we go to visit, I get giddy with excitement to play them again.

I have a whole bag I would never sell - for sentimental reasons.

MacGregor MT irons with McG Lite stiff shafts 2i-10i. Bought in 1974 from legendary Don Clarkson, head pro at Old Warson CC. (Price = $140)

    MacG SW.

    MacGregor MT woods 1, 3, 4 bought in 1982.

Acushnet Bullseye putter, bought 1968 or so. (Quit using circa 1990.)

in 1994, I got my first set of perimeter-weighted irons and metal woods. The pro/fitter encouraged me to "put them in a period bag" and keep the MTs as a bit of history. (Total trade-in would have only been ~$50.)
    What's In The Bag *...

Driver: Calla XR16 Pro 10.5° (set open) / Fuji Evolution II TS Speeder 665 R-flex 63 gr.
    FWs: Tour Edge XRail 4W + 7W / GraphiteDesign G60 R-flex 60 gr.
    or Calla Alpha 815, set 16° + 20° / Fuji Motore Speeder 665 R-flex 62 gr.
    Hybrid: Cobra FlyZ 3H 19° + 4H 22° / Matrix VLCT Altus Lite flex 73 gr.
Irons: Tour Edge CB Pro Tungsten 4i - PW** / KBS Tour 90 R-flex 101 gr. (As of 21 Nov 2018)
    Wedge: Calla MD3 48°/8.SS + 54°/12.WS +
    MD.PM 60°/10  | KBS Tour R-flex 110 gr. |
    Putter: Slotline Inertial SL-583F / 34" w. SuperStroke 2.0 MidSlim grip
Bag: Sun Mountain Three 5 stand bag
    Ball: Calla SuperSoft
    * Either 7W or 3H left out, depending on course.
** Wedges: 46°and 48°are competing for bag space.

The only club I have from my very first original set is a Ray Finkle putter putter.

Anyone ever even heard of Ray Finkle??

This putter precedes Ace Ventura, so no, it's not that Ray Finkle LOL

I definitely understand those who won't sell their clubs because family members have on them and they have a Sentimental reason with respect to that. Although, I don't have any of those type clubs, and I would sell any of mine for upgrades.

Not just a club, buy my dad's whole bag. He passed well before his time at only 64 in 2007. I am tinkering with the idea of pulling the heads from his irons and making some sort of wall rack (think coat hooks on a board) to display them on. Plus shafts can be condensed pretty easily. House and garage are getting a little crowed these days. Might pull my TA1 heads and do the same.
