are the nike engage wedges still a good buy? I have the chance to buy 3 of them. 52 square, 56 toe sweep and a 60 dual sole all still new in the wrapping. Guy wants £140 (im in the uk)

 

That's about right for the UK I'd say - I paid £40 for a 2nd hand 58 Dual Sole from Golf Bidder, so a bit more for them being new in the wrapper?

 

If it was 50/54/58 I'd be demanding to know where you'd seen them :)

After not buying them first time round I managed to find some Engage Wedges in mint condition (52 Square & 58 Dual Sole)

 

These will be replacing my 52/58 Hi Toe and for a grand total of £54 for the pair it’s a bargain!!

 

So far I’m loving them....so much in fact I’m tempted to also pick up a 56/60 so that I can play a 2 or 3 wedge setup whenever suits!

I’d go Speed. I didn’t like the feel of the Fly hybrids. Speed launched higher for me as well.

My vote is for speed too...not so much on the driver but the hybrids and fw’s in the speed line were some of the best sounding and best feeling clubs I ever hit. Results didn’t always match but that’s just me and my sometimes swing

I ordered a new Titleist Hybrid last week, which is unfortunately going to kick one of the Nikes out of the bag (the Vapor Fly 2 Iron).

 

I felt bad about this, so I've ordered a Method 003 from The Oven :) Don't tell the wife.....

I am making a Nike bag and just got a Covert 2.0 driver, vapor flex wood, and am deciding on iron set. A local shop has a machspeed set for $100 and some nice vapor pros for $150. I like the look of the vapor pros but am worried they’re too much club for me.

I game the vapor pros. Forgiving for what it is (blade), feel is very nice, great feedback, and the looks are awesome. I'd say don't be worried, besides they are worth every penny over the machspeed just in feel - imo.

Thanks. I'm a 5.2 handicap right now and was worried if they would be too punishing. I'm going to buy them today and try them out. If they don't work I can probably sell them for at least the amount I paid for them.

It's here :smiley: it arrived when the forum was being upgraded, and I love it. Its very short at 33.5 inches, which looks a bit odd considering I'm 6 foot 1, but it rolls so nicely and feels even nicer than my Scotty. I actually prefer shorter putters as they lock my shoulders and keep my wrists out of the equation, so this is working well. Just took it out for a few holes, played 13 and sank 3 birdie putts with it, so I like.

 

 

I notice its got C B etched in the face - any ideas who that is likely to be?
