Golfnow VIP is now GOLFPASS (MERGED)

I literally just received an email this morning advising me that my "GolfNow VIP is now Golfpass!"

No thanks.

I think I will let it run it's course until the expiration and then move on.

Just not quite sure anyone there is really all that concerned about customer retention. They put a bunch of crap into the "membership" that no one asked for, remove the things every single member enjoyed, increase the annual fee and then tell you about the changes after they have been made and lie about what their reps previously stated.

Time to exercise other options....

But... have you checked out the Revolution Golf!?!?!?

And there's free shipping if you buy from RG!

And 20% trade in promo when you can easily find 50% elsewhere!

I'm gonna cancel mine too. I'll probably sign up again once they realize the mistake and give out 5 dozen tp5s for signups

Well my account expired yesterday. I was hoping to see a "please don't leave" email with an offer to stay on at $99, but no such luck. I just can't justify it at $199. The major benefit I use is not paying booking fees. With Teeoff having no booking fees and more regular coupons (with fewer restrictions), I don't see much of a loss by reducing my usage of Golfnow. Golfnow has more of my local courses than Teeoff, but it'll be good enough for now.

That's the only bright side about all of this. They accidentally shipped me a lot of TM golf balls.

Heads up if anyone was waiting for the "old" price to renew for a plus account. I just got this in my email today. I'm assuming it'll force me to sign up for automatic renewal at regular price, but I'll handle that this time next year.

> WTF. Makes me a dumba$$ for renewing at $199 last March. Good for you man.!

I wouldn't say that... if you play enough justify it at $199, it's still a hell of a deal. For me it's hard to use the Mon-Thurs promo codes and hard for my group to make tee times 3 days in advance, so most of my benefit is not paying the booking fees. I can break even at $99, but not at $199 so I really didn't have a choice but to wait it out. I've basically been using Teeoff almost exclusively the last few months, but Teeoff has a much more limited set of courses in my area.

Well, I had decided to let my account terminate in July (again) but this morning I got an email this morning with a change to the monthly credits. It doesn't cover a full round anymore (only $10), but it looks like it's also not restricted to Mon-Thurs going forward. I'm assuming the 3 day advance rule still applies, but I haven't read the small print.

I still don't think it's enough for me to keep golfpass at full cost, but it'll at least force me to sit down and run the numbers one more time, especially if they offer some sort of renewal discount. I have basically never been able to use the monthly credits, so that changes things a bit for me.

It absolutely covered 100% of greens fees. I’d use them on touristy or expenses courses. They would redeem for $90-$200 for me - free round Monday-Thursday. I’m definitely canceling with the $10 coupon per month, the training and GolfNow isn’t worth it with their crappy policies and misleading everything else. Only put up with GolfNow because it was free. The only good value is the Big Break streaming on GolfPass App.
