The 60's and 70's song appreciation thread (obscurity welcome)

from the year I graduated H.S. in St. Louis I give you a huge hittune from that year. Funny how a number one hit from your senior year of high school just resonates a bit differently in the mind and soul. I started this grand game of golf my sophomore year in St. Louis County. Yes I started drinking beer about a year before this tune. A Budweiser product of course. Cardinals and Budweiser........that is what was cool baby.

So toast one up to ole touch and one of his Favorites from

1979

OK, now that I have a keyboard, I feel like i can expound on the community service I was working on yesterday.

A little bit about myself. I am not afraid of commitment and enjoy long walks on the beach at sunset talking about whatever interests you. I am a social chameleon with no personality who aims to please. Whether it's the boardroom or the bedroom, I exist only for your adulation after we have settled into a relationship. It is with this in mind that I thought I would try to see the differences between the new and old ProVx. I am stout and not too athletic but insist on playing blades regardless of my diminishing swing speed since my miss is thin, and I think the blade actually carries more spin when I perpetrate my miss. I expect to hit every shot perfectly, but in reality, I rarely take divots and scrape the ball around the course with the tell all clank sound on my full shots.

Other posters in other threads have said the '19 iteration is more "clicky" and I cannot begin to tell you what that is, since I rarely hit the sweet spot most shots feel this way to me. I will say, I think just on my little test I like the feel of the 19 ball more than the old version. I didn't play any golf with them yet, but we did get more accumulating snow since I wrote my initial data driven review earlier. It simply felt better in the off chance it did hit the clubface and go airborne. It seemed to sit down better as well even though the launch angle wasn't substantially different. And, this is more about me than you, I really only care about the chipping and putting and I think on a full swing a premium ball wouldn't feel much different than a petrified goat eye.

Here is a gem that rocked the world.

WTF... I don't know whether to be terrified or aroused.

I can explain, a little. I don’t proofread, so I was going to spoof an internet intro, then I actually moved into golf and frankly, on the second read which I just did, it didn’t work.

LOL. Who cares. Made me laugh. I must have read it 4 times trying to figure out what I was missing. Reminded me of the Rubik's Cube. Couldn't decipher the damn thing. lol..

Rory Gallagher was such a first rate guitarist. That seemingly has become forgotten about with the passage of time. And a untimely demise. Often referenced by others as being very influential.
