That wedge looks amazing. Reminds me of the vr pro forged line. I still have a black oxide 50. Those were the best wedges ever. Loved the soft feel but heavy head

 

I believe that’s what was used was the same forgings as the VR PRO wedge for this particular grind. I agree best looking ones. I think the Prototypes he has look even better though.

Headed to Callaway next Saturday for a fitting on the Flash. I have never had a Callaway driver I liked so we will see how it goes against my Ping G400max. If this does not work out I think I’m going to give the Cobra a spin.

 

In other news I am now officially picked to be a tester for Nike apparel and footwear Golf side. Prototype testing. That should be cool! Hoping to have some stuff soon. I will not be able to post anything but I get to test product for them.

Did you go up to HQ or ecpc? What did you end up with?

Went to the HQ section. Their indoor facility is more accurate than Trackman according to them.

Which epic flash did you go with? Triple diamond looks the best with the clean crown.

Just the regular Epic Flash. Also got the Cobra F9. I’m torn between the two. The Cobra I feel like I can get away with misses and it’s sneaky long!

I am loving my f9 with Accra tz5. The sound and feel are on point and I feel like I have had some terrible swings that still found fairway.

What’s the setup? I tried the flash after my f9 wasn’t carrying enough and relied on roll. The flash is legit and grabbed one but seemed to want to go left. The m5 tour I tried too was a beast but spin would dip to 1500. Flash seemed to be 1900-2300

I got fitted into a 9* Flash SZ -1 D setting. It’s the longest driver I’ve ever hit. My ball speeds were on average 174, SS was 118. Spin was down to 2400 range. I’m noticing on my misses they aren’t as bad and carry pretty dang far. I’ve never like Callaway anything and so far I have the woods in the bag. Might possibly get the Apex Pro Dots or the TM TW irons.

So my VR PROs are on their last leg. I ordered a set of the TW IRONS from TM. But also got a chance to test a 7 iron and also hit a buddies set as well. Shape wise these are an upgrade over the VR PRO. But that was about the end for me. They don’t feel as good as my VRs and it must have to do with where they were forged. They feel like the 730s to me. Actually disappointing. Just not for me. So I am in search for a new iron. Something with min offset and would love something a little more forgiving than blades. I have a set of Srixon 745s coming and they seem promising. Nothing else out there really catches my eye. Maybe the 785s. We will see. Really wanted to like the TWs, but I feel that they skimped out on quality forging. Also the headweight came in really light. Shaped like TWs, but nothing like TWs.

The swoosh just looks better than the Tm on the irons.

Agree that the 919 tours are a good combo of feel looks and forgiveness.

I’m curious to see how forgiving the ping blueprints will be since the reviews seem to be good on those.

I’m honestly so disappointed in the TW. Especially with the head weight being so light. It’s like Steph Curry shooting an air ball. Big miss. I would be all over the 919 if they weren’t all satin. I like some chrome

I’ve had this since April. It’s the long awaited new forgings from Artisan. It it’s the first serialized one ever made. Really grateful MT for the hookup on this one. Been waiting for them to post it on IG before I do. But there are over 1000 on the waitlist for wedges. Not sure they want it out there yet but I will see if they are good with me sharing because I want to show you guys the rest and do a mini review on them. It’s the best looking wedge I’ve ever had at address. I haven’t games it yet. They have been in the plastic. But once I get the Srixons these wedges will be going in the bag.

I had them in store and I think they look really good except the hosel is really bulky. Looks like a cankle lol
