to each his own but seriously, how are you supposed to be "precise" with a club travelling at 80 - 95mph just because youre training with a smaller head?? i know, i cant.

To me, its about body angles and plane/path. A club like that would do nothing in helping me hit the middle.

Maybe it trains you to repeat a precise motion? I get what you mean though. My dad had a welder reduce the diameter of the basketball hoop at home growing up and that definitely helped me once I started playing ball with a regulation hoop. Given that the training club probably doesn't have the same feel/swing properties as your normal set, the principle might not translate as well.

I think I found my holy grail when it comes to my irons, wedges and putter but I am still searching in the woods department. Not unhappy with my Honma 727 TW Woods but recently bought the following Tour Edge EX 10 driver, 4 wood and 22* hybrid.

I was impressed with the 4 wood and hybrid, I decided to get the driver without trying it.

Oh I totally recommend it. To this day, a regulation ring looks large to me. The tip I'd share is a lot of people just reduce the diameter and don't realize that this moves the center of the ring closer to the backboard. Just make sure the welder compensates by adding metal to the base of the ring and you're golden.

> Ping G400max 10.5, wanted to try it out, really like the look and feel but it’s the wrong loft and shaft for me. In the BST if anyone’s interested lol

>

When you say it's the wrong loft, you mean there's too much? I hit a friends G400 Max, which had the same marked loft as my regular G400, and the Max was noticeably higher. That said, I'm not sure how much was down to different shafts (Tour 65s in mine, Attas Coool* 6X in his) and actual differences in head loft.

The Max was definitely easy to hit, but I preferred the feel and look at address of my regular G400.

*Think it was the Coool. It was white, and he said it was a new release
