Sensicore Vs. Prosoft

I am trying to get into club building and am very intrigued by the idea of adding a sensicore or prosoft insert into some irons with different shafts to try out. I bought some DG TI S400’s and X100’s

 

Really what I want to know is does anyone have any tips or suggestions with this kind of build. What’s the best way to acquire the inserts (I know true temper doesn’t has sensicore anymore)

 

After a quick search I see that value golf has prosoft inserts for what looks like a good price. Does anyone have experience with them?

Supposably the sensicore inserts can trap moisture in the shaft, adding to rust/corrosion and eventually breakage. Not sure about prosofts.

You can just use wood dowels down in the shaft tips to dampen vibration.

I guess I should also ask the question if anyone has any info on the elevates VSS tech and how it compares

I've used Prosofts many times. They work well, and I've never had any issues with them.

I had sensicore once but didn't like it.

ProSoft inserts are cheap and very effective at dampening vibration. Buy the insertion tool for easy installation. I've built and sold at least 25 iron sets with them with nothing but positive reviews.

I use prosofts in all my irons and I think they work well. No issues.

When I played steel, I used backer rod from Home Depot for vibration dampening. Much cheaper than Sensicores or Prosofts, and pretty much does the same thing. Never had an issue.

I've used the Prosoft inserts many times, they are very easy to install and easy to remove if necessary.

 

I would suggest buying a kit from Value Golf that includes the tool.

 

I've built several sets if irons with the Prosoft inserts for local players and they love them.

Another Prosoft fan here. Combined with lighter shafts and things work great for my 40-something elbows :)

I lost the insert tool, so a tee and a chopstick work a charm or an extra shaft in place of the chopstick.

I've used Sensicores for nearly 20 years and never had an issue. Will probably use the prosoft inserts on my next build since Sensicore are now discontinued.
