Wedge Shaft Similar to Project X LZ

What wedge shafts are similar to the Project X LX? Preferably a KBS alternative.

Thanks

I was recently fit on Mizunos swing DNA and the top three recommendations for me were :

PX 6.5

KBS tour Stiff

LZ 6.5

The KBS seems out of place to me, but I suppose they must be in the ball park...

Interesting

I recently moved back to C-Taper Lite. Not sure I should keep the LZs in my wedges.

Liking the lites?

I love them. I played the PX LZ all year last season and felt I wasn’t hitting my irons as well as I used to with the C-Taper Lite’s. I used C-Taper Lite’s in my AP2 714 and 716’s. It was time to go back!

I have LZ's in 2 different sets of wedges, also a set of Modus 125 irons shafts in another set, all T7's, seem fairly similar to me,

How did u like the Modus 125? It was their 125 wedge specific shaft right? I play px 6.0/6.5 in irons and wedges and looking for something different. DG s200 are a lil too loose feeling, and the 6.5 LZ launched so damn high.

DG X100 is a good wedge shaft match, in terms of bend profile and weight...matched with PX 6.0/6.5 in irons. If you want it slightly softer, you could go with the 8 iron shaft X100

I'm currently playing Project X LZ 6.0 in my AP2's and Modus 115 Wedge in the SM7's; the 115 is misleading as they're 122g. I also carry a lob wedge in Modus 125 and that profile actually seems to be a better match with the PX LZ's. Next set of wedges will probably be all in Modus 125.

The Modus 115 Wedge shafts feel softer but it's a different profile. My observation is that it works better for partial shots than full. They give me the feeling of snapping through impact similar to the Modus 120 shafts.

Circling back on this older thread...

This research has been exhausting, with no “correct” answer jumping out.

P760s fitted to PX LZ 5.5   They are perfect, love them.

Wanting to change shafts in sand and lob, probably gap (I may just match it to rest of irons). Everything past PW have stock S300. Looking for more spin & feel, but quickly confused by the softer/stiffer/lighter/heavier combos.

I think I’ve narrowed it down to PX LZ 5.0 (softer/ lighter, by definition), or the Modus 3 105 (maybe 115?).

Besides the flex/weight issues, I get off track when switching brands trying to compare. Seems the M3 105 is equivalent to the LZ 5.0, and the 115 is more like the LZ 6.0 ... is that accurate?

Which would y’all recommend?

Also reading about soft stepping, so not opposed to that, although I’ve never done it

Thanks!!!!

I just moved to C-Taper Lites in X for my irons. My wedges recently got LZ 6.0 120g shafts and they work great together. FWIW I had a 610 120g installed in a second lob wedge and I'm getting better results with the LZ than the 610. Back to back I have better distance control and direction. Spin difference appears negligible.

My own iron fitting results were CTLX as #1 and LZ 6.0 as #2.

I was initially reluctant to go with Modus Wedge 115 as I was used to the weight of DG S200 on my wedges. BUT once you get accustomed to Modus Wedge 115 they do things which I could only possibly dream of using heavier shafts. Give it a try and you will not go back.

So if I'm using PX LZ 5.5s in my irons and want to go the route of softer flex/similar weight (as irons) in my wedges, what would y'all recommend? I like the idea of the KBS 610 shaft, maybe the R+ would be the best match? I spent some time looking at a variety of shafts and calculating cut weight and all that. Seems Modus 115 wedge might work, or maybe the same LZ 5.5 shaft and the heavier swingweight of the wedges will soften the flex?
