I was going to say Loupe but I don’t think he has any status any longer.

 

The slowest player is likely someone were not familiar with - obscure guy in the 200 FX Cup points range.

J.B. Holmes was brutal for a while; not sure if related to his brain surgery or not. Not sure if he’s any quicker now or not.

I’m sure they’re likable guys but I can’t stand watching Keegan or JDay.

All of those guys are or were pretty slow, except Spieth. Apart from the one hole and the ensuing ruling at the 2017 Open, I don't Spieth belongs in the slow play group. Na isn't the slow player he used to be anymore due to the pulling-the-trigger issue.

 

As the Tour's own rules says, they can penalize any player for playing slow and taking more than 40 seconds to hit even if they aren't a hole behind. The question is will they ever do that.

FWIW, Doug Sanders is really nice and said he deserves a little credit for Lee’s 71 Open..

He then said it was the only time Lee Didn’t talk his ear off...

 

Lee’s face is priceless when sanders goes to the bag....lee is so over 17 holes of this...

I bet at the time Kuchar was more than willing to wait after Spieth hit his tee ball 40 degrees off line. Kuchar was all, "take yer time Jordy".. Hindsight 20/20.

I've followed Jordan on many holes at several different tournaments; he's never slowed the pace that I've witnessed live. I think he gets a bad rap because of The Open and the fact that he sprays it more than average. But in person, I think you'd be hard pressed to say he's a slow player. Patrick Cantlay on the other hand, makes my eyes burn. I could only follow him for a few holes before I worried that his putting routine would creep into my pysche.

About 50% of the field are slow. But the rules guys talk the talk but never go after anyone you have really heard of. It is as if there is a separate rule book for higher ranked players. For me Cantlay is torture. Fine player but moves as fast as a glacier.

Not the slowest on Tour but Justin Rose and Sergio always look slow to me, I rarely see them mentioned. Justin was recently sounding off about slow play in his blog but he's definitely slower than average.

here's the problem - and most golfers don't get it - it only takes ONE slow guy in an early group to set the pace for the whole freakin day
