2019 Ping Blueprint Irons - New in hand photos

Seriously, who in their right mind is gonna hit that 2iron?

Every GolfWRX'er for sure! haha, kidding aside, probably only Bubba? I know even Champ uses the i500 in a 3iron rather than the Blueprints/iBlades(when he played those). I could see Bubba trying it, he used the iBlade 2 iron with his S55's. This is intimidating, that's for sure. I can hit my 2UDI fairly well, but this is a whole other beast.

 

Oh I love 2 irons, but that is borderline retarded for 99.9% of golfers.

Same data as always. Late May/Early June, 2-P, $212.50 per stick, Steel shaft only. No graphite or steel with graphite like weights.. heard a rep at a golf show say he has placed orders for shops (eavesdropping not speaking directly to rep.)

As much as I like my i500 set , the idea of a combo set of short irons 5-pw) in blueprint to go with my forged glides is sooo appealing.

If Ping reproduced the eye 2 with the offset of the Blueprint. I would buy them untested. I wish some would make a great cavity back with next to no offset instead of shovels. Srixon is as close as they get.

I'm VERY excited about Blueprint, but I'm definitely not ordering without hitting it first. I'm sure I'll like look/feel/sound, but I'm only interested in blending 6 or 7 through W into my iBlade 3 to 5 or 6. Love to get an idea of 7i v. 7i to see if anything needs to be tweaked with lofts to blend the sets.

For whatever it might be worth the lofts of the Blueprint will be the same as the iBlade

They've never offered Tour Issue DG as a stock shaft...but you certainly could still do it at an upcharge.

Is it just me or is the leading edge on the the 2 iron and the PW look the same?
