Ball with less full shot spin and more green-side spine

I've been searching to try and find an answer to this but all the results of on how to get more spin with your wedges. I'm essentially looking for less spin with full shot wedges and more around the green.

OR, is a lot of backspin a good thing? Too much spin is really only an issue in soft conditions, but it's really frustrating to hit it to 5 feet only to have it spin back to 10-15 feet; and extreme cases, off the green and into a hazard.

Is there a ball with less spin on full shorts and more spin around the greens? Does anyone play different balls for soft and firm conditions? Is backspin an advantage once you get it dialed in (ie. throwing it behind pins and trying to suck it back)?

Ultimately it's cool to spin it but i feel like i'm losing strokes.

A full swing wedge will almost always generate more spin on any ball than the same club used or a pitch or chip shot. Even tour pros work to control spin on receptive greens using a more "dead hands" technique or even clubbing down to impart less spin due to slower clubhead speed and less loft.

Currently player TP5 which gets too much wedge spin. Play TP5x which hits it a mile and has good approach spin. I would prefer more spin around the greens with both. I already club down and ease up to take spin off wedges. Surprised this isn’t more of an issue for more players.

In general you are asking for something that doesn't exist. Or said differently, you are asking for an equipment change to fix a swing fault.

It's almost guaranteed that you hit fades and take big divots. Or you're just a crazy high swing speed player. See the video below, high spin comes from the difference between angle of attack and dynamic loft. And I'm saying this as someone who has been a relatively high spin player my entire golf career. Watch some Mark Crossfield videos and you'll see he's a low spin player and that is because he's a shallow angle of attack player. And for those of us with a steep angle of attack there are things to be learned from practicing a more shallow delivery to the ball. For example, not only will you have less spin but you'll (almost certainly) reduce the left to right movement and you'll decrease the propensity to hit shots fat.

Lastly, if you look at Rick Shiels videos on youtube you'll see that he's done videos with most of the major balls (prov1, avx, tp5, zstar, bridgestone, cally, etc...). He's got a consistent swing and you can see how the balls spin off the 7 iron and full wedge swings. You'll see some balls produce quite a bit less 7 iron spin (tp5x is pretty low spin with a 7 iron). The problem you'll find is that all the premium balls produce a lot of "full wedge" spin (like 10,000+ rpm).

You might be able to get a little improvement through ball selection but IMO you'll be better off learning how to take spin off through delivery. If you're a 10 hc and having problems with too much spin then you're doing some things right. Scratch golfers can hit wedge shots that release forward on purpose.

My swing speed is 115-120ish with driver. I struggle with getting stuck and hitting blocks and hooks. i definitely have a flaw with my wedges because i have a mix of no divots, steep divots, or perfect. Also think my swing is flawed because I hit low hooks with driver and high fades (pretty straight though) with irons and wedges.

Like the advise with shiels, i'll give those videos a watch. Thanks
