Celine has been having a heck of a season so far. It's interesting when a player that previously was a non factor jumps into the mix on a regular basis  Makes you wonder what changes were made off season .

On Morning Drive they said Celine really struggled with the mental side.  They were saying it started her senior year at Duke, so by the sounds of it. it  was sports psychologist that helped and was probably many years involved in the process.

Is he really that bad? Lydia's results were just fine with him the first few years. It's when she tried to change everything in one week that the results went South.

Lydia's game does seem a bit better recently (late last year, so far this year), and I think some commentators were saying her swing looks better (technically). I'm not a huge fan of hers (like her a bit more since she's struggled), but interested to see if she can be a multiple winner / in the conversation for the top spot with Ariya and SHP (maybe add Minjee here, although she needs to put up more Ws).

Here comes Sung Hyun. When she gets going, it's scary. She's 7 under through 15 holes.

That was Tesque...and he usually went dark in the winter as far as posting, then appeared with photos of the Killer B's at this event. Putt and I keep in touch, he's still shooting mid 70's with clubs from years ago. I think someone reported him on something instead of contacting him directly with an issue. Putt is a pretty darn knowledgeable person, especially on players from the various Asian Tours.

As mentioned my wife and I went today. Low scores are available but really these women can play better than many give them credit for. And they are much longer than people think.

Funny moment on the second hole.... Davies, Inbee and Ciganda playing together. 550 yard par 5 and both Davies and Ciganda are pin high on the fringe in two. InBee hit a mediocre third to about 30 feet it so past the pin while the other to both putted to a few feet. InBee did what InBee does and rolled in her birdie putt. To which it sure appeared Davies playfully stick out her tongue at her and laughed shaking her head.

Had to get a picture for Argonne... I think Dumbo is still his fave7ahp32kb4ajd.jpg

Linnea Strom? Rookie has a 32T and a missed cut, and in her 3rd event she's tied for the lead. The Founders is always good for some strange things.

That's not as odd as the first round leader. Alana Uriell. Turned pro two weeks ago and win her first event as a pro on the Symetra tour.

All -1 will be buying Gemma Dryburgh drink tonight for bogeying the last hole and getting them in, now we get to watch slow play pitch and putt at this course with 87 players making the cut. That why I hate these basic courses like this one and the one in Green Bay, the amount of players making the cut is ridiculous.

Yeah, really surprised it slipped to -1, and with that 17 additional people (including Minjee and Ingee) play the weekend. Also going off in groups of two from only the first tee? The way the pairings split the Nelly - Brooke one looks the most interesting.

I'd guess the winner will come from those at -9 or better at the half-way point. Too many really good players at -9 or better - assume someone will get hot this weekend.

On the men's tour exactly 70 made the cut on a hard course. There is only 7 strokes difference between the lead and the cut line. If one player has made a late bogey 16 more would have made the cut. So what exactly is the "basic course" that created the 87 making the cut?

> Lurking around this site for a while. Finally got the courage to make a few posts over this last weekend and then this big change.LPGA was my favorite read by far for a long time until I kinda lost interest over the controversial happenstance at the ANA a couple or 3 years ago.                    I have a few comments/questions for some of the sages on this thread. Icher and Piller in the same group both returning after giving birth to their 2nd and 1st child respectively. Was surprised some of the Piller fans made no mention of her performance in her 1st tournament back over in the far east earlier this month.Wise on her account to choose a no cut for her return as her "game"over there smelled like soiled baby diaper. Does anyone on here know if the female caddie that Gerina used to employee was the same caddie that was on Kim Kaufman's bag at the the tournament in Australia earlier this year where she had the 54 hole lead?To me there was a strong resemblance.Anyway I predict Icher to be a trunk slammer Friday afternoon and Piller to bounce back to better form and make the cut.                                                                       How is Cheyenne Woods related to Tiger?I almost couldn't believe she shot -7 at the Monday qualifier and still didn't get in the field.

I take no satisfaction in being half right or half wrong with my predictions on Gerina Piller and Karine Icher. In the end I think there was one stroke difference in their scores with neither of them being in the nearly 100 players (sarcasm) to make the cut. They have been two of my favorite LPGA'ers for quite a few years. I wonder especially if Karine may not be about done or done as this is her 2nd child and she is approaching 40.(Maybe already there)

When I say basic I mean the wide open fairways that only Ariya using her driver could miss them and lack of any real danger around the greens. Sure there's some bunkers you don't wanna be in and probably a couple more bunkers you don't wanna be in due to pin placement but really many misses around the greens here are pretty benign for pro golfers. As for field size after the cut, I don't stress the PGA cause outside of weather related issues they are generally off in groups of 2's and that keeps the flow moving around the course nicely. The LPGA generally uses groups of 3 and on both sides with a split start that can gum up the pace of play and this is why I like small groups making the cut on the LPGA. Credit to the LPGA they are starting from the 1st tee in groups of 2 and should keep the pace of play at a good rate, so they got rid of my major gripe.

In the end I feel like it will be a putting contest between the top of the leaderboard and while SHP is hard to over look with the way she's playing, I think this week is a great opportunity for Lydia and Imbee to turn back the clock and battle each by the end of this event.

Lizette out early and seven under for the round after 17 holes. 'Definitely some birdies out there for the taking.

Lol. I'm such a jinx. 'Mention Lizette and she immediately proceeds to bogie 18.
