looks like I’m in the minority but for a high moi putter very similar to the spider I think it looks pretty sweet

Again, I plan on calling a few places in and around the QC, but snow seemed minimal a month ago, by now a few spots could be opening?

Anyone near Davenport or Bettendorf have any insight?

This IS a PLD putter, although it's by far the ugliest I have seen so far with the weird pink pig's ears.  In all-black, it would be OK, if not massively original.

Don't get me started on Ping making tour-only putters these days, having built up their reputation for years in Karsten's time by never even paying pros to use their putters, all of which were available to everyone, regardless of their level of play.

  • PING G400 Max 9* Tensei Orange 60 S
  • PING Anser 17 / 20* hybrids Graphite Design 85S
  • Miura PP-9003 Straight Neck 4-PW Nippon NS Pro 750 GH wrap tech
  • Miura 52, 56 K forged wedges / PING Eye 2 LW beryllium copper
  • Nordberg Halvdan custom / PING Cushin Scottsdale zip / PING Jim Wells Zing 5KS SN / PING Vault 2.0 Ketsch 380g, etc.

What is your point?Well it is pretty disappointing to see a company go from having everything available to their customers to having an entire line of putters (which most of their staff are using) that are simply not available.

The Bruzer will be available through accounts, but in very limited numbers. Like the last few PLD releases. Yes, they are making some "Tour Only" stuff like Louis oosthuizen's PLD ZB but I can't say I blame them.

My point, quite simply, is that from the 60s to the 00s, Ping was a company which, as far as I know, made available all its putter designs to everyone from club golfers to tour pros (who could add weight and customise their putter through WRX/the famous Jim Wells).  This was in line with Karsten's original philosophy of Ping making innovative, well-engineered clubs for everyone.

It's a matter of regret, in my opinion, that in the last couple of years they have strayed from this, copied other companies, and now have ranges for the mass market, and a range exclusively for pros.  There have been three PLD releases so far: an Anser head with very limited customization, a Ketsch with 2 camo finishes, and a Ketsch mid with a copper sole.  Meanwhile, an array of PLD models are being played on tour which are not, it seems, going to be made available to the plebs who actually buy Ping's product. That will makes some consumers feel excluded.  Others may disagree, but this is how I feel about it as a long-time Ping fan.

I certainly wish the PLD offerings were widely available (I hear some will be out this summer), but I don't think the putter line is cause to label the entire company as having strayed from their original philosophy. When their tour staff starts playing drivers with diamonds and TC stamps that none of us can buy, then perhaps a case can be made. Right now, what they play is what anyone can buy, PLD excluded. Even the Blueprints are coming.

I think they are working to determine why their last few putter lines have not been embraced by their tour staff, and seem to be getting close to figuring it out. Hopefully that means PLD for everyone.

"Ketsch"

If they slightly changed the steel weight on the bottom scalloped the edges then there would be a nice little shelf or platform to add being able to pick up the ball and possibly improve an already great putter.

Having some probs with pics now (?)

Anyways look at these [links1 ](https://www.bing.com/th?id=OIP.m0DEX0V7dE6B5nUPDIp2aAHaFQ&w=188&h=160&c=7&o=5&dpr=1.25&pid=1.7 "links1 ")[links2 ](https://www.bing.com/th?id=OIP.H13Uc-TWhAtGTX7HU-eCfAHaFS&w=222&h=178&c=7&o=5&dpr=1.25&pid=1.7 "links1 ") to see what I'm talking about.
