Morning Drive...What Happened?

Idk if it's been covered in this thread or not but I stumbled upon Holly Sonder's Instagram page this morning and BIG yikes to that one. She looks almost 100% plastic and silicon. She's scary looking. It's a real shame. I wonder if that's why she's not doing much journalism/interviewing now a days.

What kills me is how she tries to convey that her look is "all natural"...

Fascinating to me that at some point she just decided to go over that cliff of plastic surgery and it's gotten out of hand for her because she used to be very good looking...in a natural, athletic, girl next door way!

I just looked...holy hell. What a narcissist. She really got sucked into the 'girl on instagram fame' black hole.

Sad.

Not much difference between her and Blair. Of course blair still plays golf but she is still an "influencer".

Don’t say that about sweet Blair! There is a difference between someone who is like Paige spiranac and Blair. Paige is always showing off her body in short skirts and yeah it looks good but she’s no Blair! Blair can really play and did play on the lpga tour. She seems like a different kind of woman, one with a brain rather than just a butt in tight pants.

As opposed to having her butt on her shoulders - what do you know about Paige Spiranac?

Paige won a mini tour event and she plays pretty darn well. Anyway, last I looked none of the above have been anywhere near Morning Drive for a long time.

Back to the topic, lol.

The guy I was replying to was talking about Blair. And oh yeah Paige is so accomplished. Keep telling yourself that, lol. She does not belong AT ALL.

Exactly. No reason for you to bring her into the conversation and be insulting about it when you really don’t know anything about her. Not promoting her, just not putting up with nonsense.

I didn’t really know who was talking about who, that’s why I didn’t quote anyone. I just think Blair has done a good job with taking an opportunity and running with it.

Blair is a sweetheart and a really nice person. Had a glass of wine with her in Scottsdale a few years back. Walked away with a different opinion and see her as about as genuine as they come. As DSS aptly noted, Blair has built a great career with a number of different income streams including TGC, Puma/Cobra and her modeling. I'm sure through her social media followers she's some type of "influencer" which sees to be a buzz word for the end of this decade.

She grew up not terrible far from one DavePelz4 in rural IL but of course, different centuries. In my day the "influencer" was the guy you didn't mess with because he knew a guy who knew a guy.

Again, back to MD.

Good show so far, mixed in with some live golf and on the range. Still think Damron should have gotten out on that range at Bay Hill, but a chair outside was a step in the right direction. Today’s take is “pitter patter let’s get at ‘er” - lol, Cookie. RDD with the “”Tiger Tiger” - don’t jinx the big cat!

I’m enjoying Tirico this morning - he’s a little gushy for my taste sometimes but nice and conversational this morning.

Get to spend my day recovering from a mild case of pneumonia watching golf with my pup - not all bad. Now if the darn snow would melt! Maybe we’ll just move to Bay Hill, lol, and the puppy can stalk Damron.

Its a very weird show. They're talking about golf, but acting like they're having a serious discussion about something that is actually important. The show would be much better is they had more fun and stopped acting so serious.

the additions of Jaime Diaz and Tim Rosaforte have definitely reinforced the seriousness. Wish they would get back to the fun and enjoying show it could be. There is definitely an opportunity to capture the morning crowd but they are going in the opposite direction I feel like

They are there primarily on the weekend when they are talking about the tournament - not sure on the "fun" part, it's pretty relaxed even on tournament days. People smile, often laugh and I'm told sit in comfortable chairs.

It's been the same crappy show ever since Comcast / NBC tried to turn it into the Today show. Can't believe I'm saying this but it was better when Erik Kuselias was banging Holly on the side and it was just him and Gary.

I will say though, the video of watching Damon Hack try to chip playing "Golf Pong" at the PGA Show was the funniest thing I've seen in years. I am dumbfounded how someone can play as much golf as he does and suck so badly.

Wow Damon Hack was most appropriate name in TV.  Williams bad too

And about half the size. So other than the type of grass, speed, size and undulations.... he was right on.

I think they call him Coach. I thought I read something about him being formerly involved in long drive or something. He might be pretty knowledgeable, I don’t know, but up to this point I haven’t really seen that he’s added much to the show.

Yep, [Jonathon Coachman](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Coachman "Jonathon Coachman"). Made his bones as a WWE announcer/interviewer.

The guy has basically been an announcer of everything at this point. I know the WWE thing is funny, everyone has to cut their teeth somewhere, but he is actually pretty good at whatever he covers. He turned a "fake sports" gig into an actual sports gig with ESPN.
