Thanks for golf info. Guess I could drive outside town a bit. Any replay offers, combined round discounts ??

Paiute has some replay deals. It's a drive to get there and windy but no houses and people like the courses. I played Wolf and it didn't wow me but that's just me.

The long drive leaves your wife alone for a longer amount of time.

Nice!

I’m headed out there around the same time.

I’m going to play Desert Pines on Tuesday and then take some touch up lessons there.

On Wednesday I’ll play Paiute as well.

I’ve played Desert Pines before and it is fine. My main goal is practice on Tuesday.

I thought about Bali Hali but not sure I want to take two ubers that day. Rather save the cash for more drinking. ?

Excited about Paiute. I’ve played Primm and Reflection Bay. I liked Reflection Bay more.

The time I played Primm, no one was there. I had the entire range to myself. Used that for 3 hours!

Too bad I found this thread late, I would have tried to coordinate a round with you.

Play well.

Worst part is, we are staying at the Palms. It’s free due to my wife’s conference but a little off the Strip.

I’m sure I’m in the minority, but I prefer old Vegas. I love walking around o Fremont street, going in and out to bars. The live music. I’m not a big gambler so all the big casinos seem the same to me...just a big mall.

I go to Vegas simply for the food and the golf. ?‍♂️

I got Cascata booked for my Birthday so pretty pumped about that!

Reflection - 3/21

Bali - 3/23

Cascata - 3/24

At an Airbnb in Palms w awesome view of strip so wife excited about that.

Anyone give advice on how to play craps? It looks fun but complicated. I normally play Roulette but might try 3 card poker.

Craps is easy...just put your money down and hope for a good roll; or if the table is bad play the don't pass/come.

Advice on how to play craps is like advice on how to golf. There are a lot of things going on and you probably need to read up. You can play 1 bet or you can play a ton. Tables get rowdy when a lot of bets are making a lot of money and it's really fun.

The way I play you need a lot of units. I like to have 50x the minimum bet but have came with 100x before if I have time to kill.

In short, pre point you bet minimum pass line (1u). After point is made you bet maximum behind the line (3-5u). Then I bet minimum come bet (1u). If point made on the come, then max behind the line bet (3-5u). At a 10 dollar table you could have $120 out after 2 rolls hence why the 50x multiple is a lot more than what you need at a BJ table.

After that, I'll either make another come bet with max odds or place 6 and 8 if those aren't point. The goal at any time is really to have 6 and 8 going and at least 1 other max odd point. I play field every now and then and hard ways when it's a good table.

This strategy can lead to fantastic moments. Last time I played the shooter couldn't hit a point (6 or 8..forget which one) or 7 to save his life. The come bets were just rolling in. Like 4/4, 10/10, 9/9, 5/5, 5/4/5/4. It was insane. The hardest points he was usually making within 1-2 rolls. Shooter was new to craps and I think he made me $2,000 in 5 minutes without even knowing what was going.

Well...figured out Craps. (Kind of). The Mrs. and I came back w $800 each of LV money plus what we took to gamble.

She rolled for 20-30 min and made some people a lot of money. They had $5 and $10 in the area that if she rolls 2-12 net 7. I think they each made over $1000 just on that bet. It was fun and can’t wait to go back but LV isn’t cheap when you play golf, go to shoes and eat/drink like we did.
